    Does emotion/mental state effect flexibility?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2021 08:11 PM PDT

So I have been working on increasing my flexibility for about a year now and stretch about everyday (not counting off-days). I have noticed that when I am really upset my flexibility is much weaker and stretching is more painful (sometimes it's so bad I can't even go into a full split). However, when I am happy and feeling good my flexibility is phenomenal. Today I felt better mentally than I have in a long time, and I was able to do a leg hold higher than I ever have and my splits were easy and perfect. Does anyone else relate to this? I just feel like the change is so visible and drastic.

Movement Teacher answering fitness, health, movement questions for 10 hours straight

    Posted: 13 Jun 2021 03:06 PM PDT

My partner (Bren Veziroglu) is a movement teacher with a biochemistry background and he's answering fitness, health, and movement questions on Youtube for 10 hours straight today.

He holds two state powerlifting records and has studied with teachers the likes of Ido Portal, Caio Terra, Tom Weksler, Yuri Marmerstein, Shai Faran, etc.. His skillsets include a strong background in strength training, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hand balancing, and improvisation-based contemporary dance. He also uses modern concepts from pain science, anatomy, and motor learning to rehabilitate old injuries while improving strength, mobility, and balance.

Ask him anything fitness related? Especially if you have any questions about movement that you'd like his input on or if you'd like to debate something controversial in the fitness industry.

I think what sets him apart from other movement teachers is his science background and his tinkerer's approach to things. He's always trying to figure out what works best whether it is reviewing the latest scientific literature, testing things out for himself, or seeking out the best teachers in the world to study from. His students (me included) always learn something new from him even after years of having known him. This is a great opportunity for people to pick his brain on anything health related so hop onto YouTube sometime today to ask him anything you'd like.
