| How to increase leg flexibility Posted: 20 Mar 2020 07:24 PM PDT I have read the faq but I still don't get some stuff. Anyway, I was wondering if it's ok to just target legs? I want to increase my legs flexibility and be able to achieve splits and kick high. What routine should I follow? [link] [comments] | ||
| Honest question. How safe/healthy are positions like this? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 07:26 PM PDT Okay so as a disclaimer I don't practice flexibility and only do basic stretching on top of strength training. But I like this sub and come across a lot of posts like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/flexibility/comments/fit5il/slowly_bending_in/ And it make me wonder. How safe/healthy are these kinds of poses? What kind of effect does that have on the body? I'm genuinely curious and would like some insight. Thank you! [link] [comments] | ||
| Which type of yoga is best to improve flexibility ? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 05:11 PM PDT Hi guys ! I would like to add yoga to my daily stretching routine to build some strength and increase my flexibility. However, there are so many different styles that I'm not really sure where to start. So which type would be best to get close to contortion level flexibility ? Feel free to leave some DVD or youtube recommendations. :) Thanks ! [link] [comments] | ||
| How do I address glute cramping when stretching other muscle groups? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:35 AM PDT Hello everyone, Hope this finds you well! I've been working on solving a strange running injury I sustained about 10 months ago on the inside of my right knee (not runner's knee/ITBS) through some flexibility/mobility work. Lately I've been trying to improve my flexibility in my inner thighs (i.e. adductor and medial hamstring) using the Cossack squat. I keep running into an issue where my glutes (specifically it seems to be in the glute med/min area) seem to cramp up/restrict mobility before I can even really get a good stretch on the adductors. Does anyone have any advice on what might be causing this? I've thought it could be tightness in the glutes, but I seem to have okay flexibility in that area right now (I can get into pigeon pose without much hassle on either side). [link] [comments] | ||
