Former dancer here, first attempt at a wall split in years... honestly shocked I was able to do it

Fellow noodle people, what would you recommend for an already flexible person? I feel like I've hit a plateau for a while and not sure how to improve it. Here's me doing the standing split

Internal pelvic muscle pain. Feels like my left leg can't rotate inwards. How can I fix this?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 07:09 PM PDT

When I sit on the ground with my legs open to stretch, I have absolutely no problem rotating my left leg inward. My right leg is a different story. I can't rotate it inward without feeling slight pain up my thigh into my right transverse abdominal. It's bizarre. I recently started up yoga and stretching and today I actually was able to gently rotate my right leg in, but not without this strange muscle mull sensation and tingles down my leg after. It felt like I hadn't worked that muscle in years and then tingles down my whole leg. I'm just worried I'm going to injure myself. Should I continue gently stretching that side everyday?

The pain is also evident when I do pigeon pose with my leg knee folded in. If I stretch forward I am fine but if I stretch to reach to my left, I can feel stretch pain from my left abdominal deep inside my right leg. Is this an internal hip flexibility issue or something else? Looking for advice or insight if anyone has had the same problem.

I circled where the stretchy pain occurs.

Right hamstring is flexible and painless but left hamstring is not and hurts

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 05:47 AM PDT

So i've been stretching for awhile. I can do pancake and side splits if i warm up. But my left outer hamstring hurts when stretching it especially at the insertion at the fibula. It also hurts if i try to flex my left knee against resistance with my hip flexed maximum

How long to get your front splits?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 09:02 AM PDT

I'm not very flexible but I've always wanted to do a split, so a few days ago I started stretching every night for around 15-30 minutes. I'm about 8 inches off the ground, maybe 7 if I really push it. If I keep this up how long should it take? I am a 19yo female btw.

    Hip flexion question

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 06:41 AM PDT

I'm able to successfully completely loosen my hip muscles after a thorough 20 minute stretch, to where I can laterally raise my legs at a 90 degree angle- but after 5 minutes my hips return to tightness and I'm limited to a 45 degree lateral flexion again. What does this mean?

    How do I do this?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 08:02 PM PDT

So I can lay on my back and prop my heel up on a wall and try to get my hamstrings to stretch. But it just feels like something in there is holding on and I can't touch it with my mind to relax it.

    This is a little frustrating.

How do I just let go? Like, how do I tell my hamstrings to relax?

    Stretching when sore

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 11:07 AM PDT

I love stretching and want to continue to improve my flexibility and mobility but I'm unsure how beneficial it is to do when I'm sore from weight lifting?

Is there a specific method I need to do to prevent further muscle fibre tears?

    Any advice would be great!
