Ashtanga yoga: Bundhas |
| Posted: 11 May 2020 02:46 PM PDT Hi All. I've read and heard a few references to the bundhas (eg, in David Swenson's Practice Manual and Richard Freeman's Primary DVD). To be honest they are still a bit of a mystery to me. Where are these illusive muscle groups, and how important are they really? Is it possible to activate these while not practicing just to get an understanding of it? I should really have a look online by googling, but just thought I would ask here to begin with. Many thanks. | Posted: 11 May 2020 01:50 PM PDT From a daily Shala practice to trying to make a space to practice at home has proven difficult - having family around, usual daily noise etc and not being able to create that peaceful space has made me lose my daily practice. I've tried the dim lighting and incense, different times of the day (from around 6am everyone is up and about so unless I wake up at 4/4:30 I will never have silence or 0 interruptions) and no one else practices and necessarily understands why I prefer not to have a conversation mid-bakasana.... tips, anyone ? Considering using music to cut out other noise / maybe even my AirPods with just the noise cancellation on ... [link] [comments] |
