Posted: 18 May 2020 07:17 AM PDT And yesterday was the confirmation, because I had suspected this was true before as i had slept on it before. Why is this so? Every time I sleep on my mattress I wake up with lower back pain on my left side that bothers me so much I have to sit as soon as I am up, slept on a thin ish IKEA mattress topper and poof. Gone, no pain, not in the morning not throughout the day. [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 May 2020 07:25 PM PDT Hi everyone, I am really trying to gain more flexibility and first started with my really tight hamstrings. I have been doing the standing hamstring stretch on a bench the last three days. I am feeling very achy in my legs. Is this normal? Also my lower back is very sore. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. Thank you I'm advance. [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 May 2020 05:09 PM PDT Anyone with experience with Stick Mobility (the product)? I've never really used anything like it, but also can't shake the idea that it's charging a lot of money for a couple of sticks. People seem to have positive views but it's hard to know if they're biased. Thanks for your help! [link] [comments]
Flexibility routine after workout ? Posted: 18 May 2020 10:08 PM PDT I am new to this flexibility routines and i am thinking to do the routine right after my strength training. Is it okay or not? Whats the ideal timing for both tho? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2020 03:34 PM PDT Hey everyone, i am looking for a structured flexibility program to help me stay on track with my flexibility goals. I came across GMB today and noticed they have a flexibility/mobility program that looks pretty good. I was wondering if anyone has tried or heard anything about this? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2020 05:43 AM PDT So since lockdown I got the idea of learning to do the front split. I got down to about 7cm quite easily. And now I've been stuck there for 2-3 weeks. The problem is my sciatic nerve: it basically hampers all the stretches I should do and refuses to get more agreeable. There just doesn't seem to be any improvement in that respect at all. Regardless of it being near the glutes (downward dog is terrible!) at the knee (everything with flexed feet and leaning forward), or anywhere inbetween. I also tried this as a pre-teen/early teen because I was rubbish at pretty much all sport and wanted to be able to do something at least. Again, it was the sciatic nerve that held me back. What can I do to make it more agreeable? With regards to general flexibility: I sit in lotus seat on my chair, saw people sitting in a deep squat in China and just did it as well (great for hiking lunch breaks when it's wet), and never have lower back/glutes/leg pain as such. Do any guys find themselves sitting in half lotus on chairs? Posted: 18 May 2020 04:58 AM PDT I do it on the couch, in my desk chair, and even on bar stools (when bars were a thing lol). I've always been called weird for it, or that it's a "feminine" way to sit. Just wondering if any other guys do the same? [link] [comments]
What are some of the lesser known health benefits of stretching? Posted: 18 May 2020 06:21 AM PDT I know that flexibility translates into better mobility, body intelligence, postural health, so on and so forth. This is of course awesome and plenty reason to improve ones flexibility - but what are some of the lesser known health benefits? I hear "releases toxins" and "makes organs function better" and other things that may be swooped into the category of woo-woo pseudoscience for most people, but I've heard a lot of competent people claiming health effects like these, but I'd like to know more about it. I'm just not sure where to look. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me more? Thank you so much. [link] [comments]
Will doing the prescribed lessons in Stretch & Flexibility be enough? Posted: 18 May 2020 06:09 AM PDT So I read the Strength and Flexibility book that was available for free download. There are around 16 lessons. Each lesson is to be done two times a week. Also a daily five ( plus 2 neck stretches) which comes before the lessons. For people that have followed this book. Is that enough to perform proofs of Flexibility, like Full forward fold pike presses, middle splits, front splits, full lotus, half lotus poses? Thanks [link] [comments] |
