Stretching, not progressing and still tight?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 01:45 PM PDT

Hey guys, I've tried many forms of stretching. Static stretching mainly. I followed a subreddit and did "starting to stretch". Did that for 2 months. Saw 0 change.

I swear my lower body is chronically tight. My calves, shins, hamstrings, hips, quads(ish) are really tight. The thing is, when I try ROM tests, I do amazing. I can do good mornings with good form (showcases hamstring flexibility). I have no idea on why they feel so tight. I tried strengthening them, but yeah. Still have that tight feeling. It feels horrific. The feeling is unreal. Massaging it and stretching it doesn't do anything. I'm stumped!!

    Thanks.

    Sit-and-reach

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 02:48 PM PDT

I've been stretching in ways to prove my results on a "sit-and-reach" box. I took a few days off and now I'm a whopping 2.5 inches worse than I was beforehand.

Is there any reason I'm so tight after these couple of days? That seems Iike a lot of progress to lose. Thanks

Any tips for better balance in a handstand?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 04:29 AM PDT

I (14F) have recently started trying to learn a handstand by myself.

I can pretty much hold myself on my hands for around a split second before I lose my balance and collapse on the ground (I put a mattress underneath so I didn't get injured or anything).

I usually attempt handstands against a wall (kicking off the wall) because I'm not confident enough that I can kick up into one yet.

So... I'd like to know... Are there any tips to better balance while doing a handstand?
