Ashtanga yoga: The dangers of setu bandhasana |
| The dangers of setu bandhasana Posted: 06 Feb 2021 03:49 PM PST On a different platform the other day, I saw a thread of comments on setu bandhasana. Comments were pretty much divided into just two general opinions, one that setu is just fine, and the other more prevalent one dismissing it outright as "obviously dangerous", just from the looks of it. It occurs to me that I know of quite a few asana in primary and intermediate that people have injured themselves with, more or less in a predictable way. Apart from "setu scalp", I don't know of any setu injuries, however. Which is at odds with it being so overtly perilous. I'm left wondering are there any accounts, at least anecdotal, of actual injuries that have occurred in setu? [link] [comments] |
