Form check: Pancake - Legs should be internally or externally rotated?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 12:27 PM PST

Pancake training for a few weeks.
I've been anteriorly tilting my pelvis, externally rotate my hips and flexing my feet while keeping them pointed up. I'm using PNF by squeezing my glutes and quads.
Am I training correctly? I've watch some videos and some say internal rotation with pointed feet.
Looking for advice and form check too

    Forward spinal (back) flexibility?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 07:56 AM PST

Most stretches for spinal/back flexibility arch backwards. Will developing this flexibility equally develop forward flexibility of the spine?

How else can I get forward flexibility in my upper/middle/lower spine?

Hey, I was trying this mobility test and noticed my right leg was rotating externally. What is causing this? Can someone help?

Being healthy is generally misunderstood. We treat physical health as holistic health. But mental and emotional health is equally important. Interestingly all three affect each other too. This is what makes YOGA such a great thing. It takes care of all aspects asana, pranayama and meditation.

    Manspreading

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 05:35 AM PST

I sit at a desk all day for work, and I've been keen to open up my leg spread / straddle.

If I was to "manspread" at my desk, basically sit on my chair with my legs open and the goods on show, would this help increase my flexibility or would it just be pointless?

    Thanks

Why is it impossible to get more flexible?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 05:28 AM PST

I'm tired of the world saying "Just stretch and do yoga and you'll get more flexible." It's not true. If I do it regularly I can maintain maybe a 10% improvement, but then I hit a wall and won't progress further. I can not touch my toes which is a PITA. I've stretched gently, and crazy hard. Short and 20 minute long holds. Cold and hot. No changes.

Bodies are different and some are born flexible, with the ability to improve, some are not. Stop with the narrative that it's any kind of measure of fitness. It's NOT! There are morbidly obese people who can touch their toes. I can barely touch the sit and reach box but I can run a 6:30 mile, do 20 strict pullups, and have a 6 pack. I'm fit.

Any secret supplements anyone knows of?
