- Goat You Covered, Shark Week
- Improving my back flexibility!
- Middle splits with added thoracic drill. I’ve seen a few people looking for a nice way to increase flexibility that doesn’t require a lot of warm up / a lot of training commitment. I use this in my warm up, but it’s also nice as a stand-alone and a great way to increase hip and thoracic mobility.
- My needlescale :) I’m soooo close to getting it straight (tried to edit out my face )
- Forward fold ... How's it looking? I'm not entirely happy with it.
- Knees/Spine pressing into mat
- I got my needlescale after 2 weeks O.O
- Scorpion Advice
- Need help in touching my toes
- How to release a tight piriformis & stop it from coming back [Fix the symptoms & their cause]
- Fitness band + sofa: perfect combination to not being a couch potato!

| Posted: 18 Jul 2021 05:53 PM PDT Hi everyone! I'm trying to get back into a regular stretching routine and was hoping to get some help with a couple things I'm struggling with. In certain stretches, I can feel my knees (lunges, etc) or spine (some positions on my back) pressing quite hard into my mat. I can feel them sort of rolling against it. It hurts and often causes me to lose my balance. Is this something that gets better with practice? Am I potentially doing the stretches wrong? Are there protective measures/gear I should use? I think I have particularly knobby knees and a spine that sticks out a bit when I bend if that changes things. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 18 Jul 2021 05:59 PM PDT I wasn't sure if there is already a post about this as I am new to this sub, so my apologies if there is. Basically, I'm a dancer and 99% of my flexibility is in my legs/hips, not my back. I can do a backbend from standing and I'm close to getting it from my knees and thats about the only back flexibility I have. I really want my scorpion/needle, and I have been working on it on and off but I'm going all in this time. I do a back stretching and scorpion routine before I attempt it, but I cannot get my leg over my head and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. If anyone knows any good back stretches/easier ways to get into a scorpion I would be very grateful. Also(hopefully this doesn't make things worse), I told my competition teacher I could work on my needle for the season(because she wants tricks in the dance and also because I need the push to learn something new). | Posted: 18 Jul 2021 04:49 AM PDT Whenever I try this, I feel a stretch at the back of my knee. Doesn't feel like a muscle stretch, almost like a stuck nerve. Does anyone have experience with this and how did you successfully fix this? Note: this is not a medical question. The only people who could know of this are people who stretch. Please don't take this down. [link] [comments] | ||
