- Tight Calves? these calf stretches helped me improve my ankle mobility by strengthening my ankle dorsiflexion, you can do these at home and can perform them with or without weights, it depends entirely on the kit you have a available at home.

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 03:34 AM PDT So i recently started riding bike more intensively and i don't want to lose all my flexibility I achieved during winter. Do you guys know what exactly muscles are engaged when riding a bike so I can find stretching exercises for them or if you know some stretching exercises that would be cool? [link] [comments]
My calves burn like crazy when touching toes Posted: 27 Apr 2020 10:44 PM PDT When touching toes or leg stretches with a strap, my calves go on fire, while I CANNOT FEEL ANYTHING ELSE. People say they usually feel their hamstrings or back when touching toes, but I don't feel even a 1% stretch in those areas. It is all calves. I am now able to touch the floor (with 2 weeks of progress), but my calves burn like hell when I do. Is this normal? Everyone (including doctor) says I have tight hamstrings, but hamstrings feel pretty loose to me. For example, when I bend my legs to stretch hamstrings, the stretch feels very satisfying and comfortable. So do I basically need to stretch my calves like crazy or is there something else to it? I already stretch my calves a good amount. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:25 PM PDT I'm a dude and I've been stretching for months trying to do the splits. My general routine is that I'll hold the middle stretch for 5 minutes and 30 seconds before breaking. Then I go into the right and left stretches and hold them for 1 minute and 30 second stretch. Sometimes I'll do extra. I've been doing this for months consistently. Lately my legs have begun to hurt, and it's getting more difficult to stretch my hamstrings consistently bc of the pain. I don't want to lose progress. Please give me advice and tell me what's wrong! [link] [comments]
hey guys! anybody here ever do functional range conditioning (kinstretch)??? Posted: 27 Apr 2020 05:02 PM PDT hello everyone! new to the whole flexibility and mobility world and have really dived into the different practices to achieve both those things this year. one thing i have now seen come up quite often is the concept of kinstretch. i am wondering if anyone has any experience regarding it? if you have is it worth it? did you see good improvements in overall well being? just want an opinion from a person who has really experienced it before as sometimes the internet can give you too much information and it ends up diluting the valuable info that's needed. any help is much appreciated. thanks a lot guys [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2020 02:34 PM PDT So,Here's my question: Does tight TFL have anything to do with poor internal hip rotation? I'm struggling with tfl tightness on both sides(right tfl 50% less tight)for more than a year which directly messes up my posture and creates compensatory movement in my body.It also clicks when I'm trying to flex my knees. I was trying to stretch my tfl and then try to activate my glutes for some time which wasn't really that effective. I was doing 90/90 for a few months and just recently I realized I wqs doing it wrong, always kind of rotating my pelvis so the trailing leg (that's in internal rotation) is more at ease. I tested my active internal rotation and I would say it's pretty bad, again right one is at least 50% better and on my left leg I have almost zero internal rotation. Being in 90/90 (The correct way) for my lR is tough but it really does the job(temporary). My question is,Is 90/90 stretch alone enough to get solid amount of internal rotation or should you do active rotations as well?(Active ones tend to just flare up my tfl even more.) Lower back pain when working on side splits? Posted: 27 Apr 2020 01:10 PM PDT I am trying to work towards side splits. ALL of the stretching positions for them hurt my lower back. Frog pose, sitting in straddle trying to fold forwards, lying on my back with butt and legs against the wall doing the gravity straddle... in each one, I have a dull ache in my lower back which intensifies if I try to go deeper into the stretch. I don't have hip pain. I can do front splits and forward fold in a pike without issues, it's only when I try to spread my legs out to the sides. It's the same whether my back is arched or straight, tensing core/pelvis or not. What am I doing wrong? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:30 AM PDT Here is my bridge progress This is from May 2019 and this is my current bridge. I've been stuck here since November-ish and haven't progressed much since. Any recommendations of how to progress further from this? Thanks! edited for adding wrong imgur link [link] [comments]
Help doing the behind the back finger clasp. Posted: 26 Apr 2020 03:55 PM PDT I don't know the name of it - but it's when you put one arm behind your shoulder, and the other from the bottom (from the lower back area) - and you have to clasp/grab your fingers together from both hands. I used to be able to do this years ago. I started lifting weights, and I feel like I lost a bunch of mobility because of lack of stretching. Is this an issue with shoulder flexibility, or something else? And in any case, how can I be able to perform this stretch again? [link] [comments] |
