I fully ruptured my right MCL in February and I have been feeling great in physical therapy - so I decided to try my splits for the first time since before my injury! No pain here :)

First time posting here! Trying to get my flexibility back and I’ve been inspired by this sub. Been consistently working on this since the quarantine started, if you have any tips on how to work on a bow and arrow, I appreciate it!

Hey y'all. Hope you're all able to stay at home getting stretchier than ever. I got bored and shaved my legs. Feels great.

Hips have different flexibility/ability to move - please help!

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 03:28 AM PDT

Hi there, I'm hoping I'm posting in the right sub, and that someone can help me!

I have problems with my hips and back; my right hip seems to be the main problem and is usually out of line with the rest of my body. I was seeing a Myotherapist before the social restrictions. With some strengthening training my back is better, however my hips are still sore and lack mobility and flexibility. My right hip in particular, as you can see in this picture, when I am lying down - https://i.imgur.com/ylV9viV.jpg

I am trying to move and stretch most days, and practice yoga or pilates during the week but I'm not sure of exact movements or stretches that would help. I'm not looking for medical advice, just for different routines or stretches to use.

Any help would be much appreciated! I am also hypermobile in most/all of my joints, for reference.

    Thanks in advance!

Help me diagnose my problem please? I’ve always wondered if I could one day do this move, but I can’t even do it on the ground. I can do a mostly square split, I can some degree of a backbend, shouldn’t that add up to being able to do the move on the ground?

Just started daily stretching my hamstrings and such for the past 2 weeks. I'm HIGHLY inflexible and I have slight kyphosis (had to wear a back brace as a kid). What can I do to correct my back in the downward dog? It's like I can't move my butt up so my back is flat.

Is hip pain from long walks normal?

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 03:30 PM PDT

I'm a 24yr old man, I'd say I live a fairly active lifestyle. A few days ago I went on quite a long hike which ended up roughly 4.5miles long. By the end of it I had developed a dull ache on my right hip, around where the socket is. I'm slightly concerned that this might be a sign of something more serious like arthritis, with this in mind I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any insight on the matter.

    Can I overstrech? Beginneer here!

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 04:36 AM PDT

Hi there! Im new to this and my quarantine goal has been to become more flexible, as I have a terrible flexibility. I was wondering if I could do stretches twice a day almost everyday (now that I have the time) or if, like in exercise, I would be overstretching.

I am also looking advice about the science of stretching. I dont quite understand what is it that os being stretched😅

If you have any YOUTUBE or blog recommendations for begginners, I would really appreciate if you could leave them here.

    Thank you!
