| Posted: 20 Jun 2020 02:12 AM PDT I play alot of sports but over the past 6 months I've had a constant strain on my hamstring, I've been going to a physio for a while now and it doesn't seem to be doing any good, he's suggested it could be coming from my back. Is this possible?? I'm 30 and I do drive alot for my job. Any advise welcomed [link] [comments] | ||
| Left hip popped in middle splits Posted: 19 Jun 2020 06:24 PM PDT Okay so i have had some pain when i move my left leg a certain angle sometimes. So i did a little stretching today. Haven't stretched out my hips in months. I slid into middle splits and halfway down my left hip popped and the pain went away. Should i be worried? I mean the pain is gone but idk what caused it in the first place. FYI: i am 17 [link] [comments] | ||

| Can you injure yourself from working out if you haven't yet healed from your stretching? Posted: 19 Jun 2020 02:46 PM PDT I've been doing stretches each morning for 10 days now (I'm already seeing good progress, which is crazy) and a lot of the focus is on my hips. Well I just injured my hip flexor while sprinting. I've never really experienced something like this, and was wondering if stretching could have contributed. I know stretching makes tiny tears in the muscle and requires healing, so perhaps my muscle was in a compromised state while I did my sprints? And if this is the case, how should I go about continuing both stretching and working out without them impeding each other? Does it just mean I need to ease up on the stretching? Also yes, I'm well aware that you shouldn't stretch before working out. But I don't. I stretch right after I roll out of bed, and workout much later in the day. Thanks for the help. | Posted: 19 Jun 2020 05:22 PM PDT Hi, I'm looking to work on my back flexibility as I'm a hobby figure skater. I have really great natural hamstring flexibility and quickly improving hip flexibility(I've always been bendy and hypermobile) but when i try to stretch my back, my ab muscles and especially right under my ribcage feels more strained than my actual back. It sucks just because my legs and hips are so far ahead in flexibility and improving so much faster compared to my back. I'm thinking it's probably because of my chronic slouching(My posture is perfectly fine when i stand save for my shoulders not always being rolled back but it's nothing crazy, just not when I sit. It's especially bad when I sit because I've been a pretty hardcore gamer my whole life so I really do have gamer back.) I haven't heard of many people with this issue and i want to know if there's any way to work around it or if it's just that and I have to wait for my ab flexibility to catch up with my actual back. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I'm 17F and just started the past month stretching a couple times a week and I have a small oversplit on my good side, not perfect split(on the ground only if my hips aren't squared at all) on my bad side. Also yeah I know should stretch more, just got that quarantine laziness oops😳.Thanks in advance to anyone who comments :') [link] [comments] | ||
| Looking for a routine focused on elbow extension Posted: 19 Jun 2020 10:54 AM PDT As the title says, I am looking for a routine for my elbow extension. I know of a few stretches from people like Yuri Marmerstein and Emmet Louis, but I don't know enough about structuring an actual routine based on them (like how many sets of how much time). I was wondering if anyone has a routine or know of one, since I couldn't find any. Thanks, Guy [link] [comments] | ||
