    Runner and Flexibility

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 07:46 PM PDT

Hi all. Does anyone have experience working with post running athletes ? Iv ran competitively 11 years and i feel absolutely no gain in my flexibility. I often feel like im getting a ton of rebound because of my muscle and just years of chunky motion like running. Im not sure what to do. Im very familiar with foam rolling. I had been stretching 5-6 days a week for about 2 months and didnt feel like id been improving.

Improving range of Motion on wrist flexion.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 07:16 PM PDT

    Edit: Title should say extension

So i have a really hard time with flexibility when performing wrist extension (a push up for example). It's a pretty good stretch just getting my wrist to 90 degrees. Any suggestions on how to improve this? I've mostly been doing wall push up positions and leaning into the stretch. Furthermore, with this particular muscle/tendon group how long until i should expect improvement?

Lateral (outer) knee pain when doing "number four" glute stretch

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:15 AM PDT

    Hi,

When I try to do a "number four" glute stretch, I get pain on the outside of the knee (of the leg being put in a "number four" position.)

I also get the same pain when squatting and either stopping or breaking down to parallel. I do a lot of barbell squatting (ass to ground), and I started noticing this about two weeks ago.

Sometimes I feel the outside of my knee do a small "pop" when I flex and extend the join.

Any ideas what that could be, and how to remedy it? Thanks.

Sharp tingle pain in calve when stretched

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 01:14 PM PDT

I just started stretching a week ago for the first time in many years. After a couple of days of stretching, I noticed a very sharp, needle-like pain would appear in my left calve when doing certain stretches, such as touching my toe when sitting.

It almost feels like being stabbed with lots of hot needles, and it disappears immediately after stopping.

I've never had a pain like this. The search results online haven't been very good.

Anyone have experience with something similar?

    Morning flexibility routine for beginner

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 11:54 PM PDT

I am fairly healthy and lift weights, swim, run but my body is not very flexible. What short morning routine would you suggest for improved flexibility/mobility? Ideally without equipment.
