Ashtanga yoga: Practicing with non-attachment |
Practicing with non-attachment Posted: 27 Nov 2020 02:11 AM PST A year ago I read a book by Dan Harris about his story on how he incorporated Buddhist principles (and meditation) into his personal/professional life. The journey started with a panic attack on national TV in front of millions. He makes a list of principles, one of these Mark Epstein helped him with "non-attachment to results". (you work hard, but you don't become attached to the outcome). Funnily I was watching a Kino MacGregor handstand tutorial last month and she said at the end to practice everyday with no attachments. Then, a video by Ty Landrum was posted on Youtube last week "Jump Through and Jump Back Secrets". Right at the end he says to practice with non-attachment and to trust in the long term process. It's funny how these themes come through. It this a traditional buddhist teaching? [link] [comments] |
