I achieved this position for the first time today (with the help of a wheel). I am very proud of my progress and wondering if anyone has tips or advice for entering this pose from kneeling.

    Stretching app recommendations?

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 09:15 AM PST

Hello! I've been looking for a stretching app where I might be able to customize my own stretching routine in the app rather than usung a pre-set routine. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations!

For some reason, we can find more videos on back pain rather than building back strength. But I am sure majority of us over here will like to avoid going into the zone of back pain. As some wise man said, PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAT CURE. Yoga for back strength by Yog4Lyf. Do share your views.

Favorite follow along and online classes

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 05:07 AM PST

    Hi

I'm a beginner ( i'm 1 yoga block away from frontsplits, can pike and wheel pose) I've always wanted to be more flexible but haven't really worked out a routine for myself.

My first goals are front splits and deeper backbends/ fall into a wheelpose. I'M also practicing my headstands. I enjoy youtube follow along videos from blogilates (1, 2 ), anna mcnulty (only her beginner videos ) and alivia andrea I m currently trying out the stretch it app

For people that don't hire coaches or follow in real classes Which youtubers helped you achieve your goals? If you follow online paid classes, which services do you enjoy or recommend?

    Any other recources you recommend?

    Thank you for helping!

    Mobility Monday IG Live

Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a good start to the week, and making the most of it. My name is Conor, and I wanted to extend an invitation to everyone here for my Mobility Monday class this evening.

Just a bit of background about me: I'm originally from Ireland, and am now a London based personal trainer, gymnastics coach, and sports scientist. My practical experience and education have helped me to specialise in performance, lifestyle and mobility and I wanted to extend a helping hand to everyone at a time when we're all moving even less than normal.

The class is at 6:30 pm UK time, is 30 minutes long, completely free, requires no equipment, and everyone's welcome. This week we will be focusing on mobility around the hip joint and back!

All you have to do is find me on IG (@coachedbyconor) and join the class once I launch it just before the start time.

I'd love to see some of you there, and wishing you all the best.
