| Something popped while doing the split Posted: 19 Jan 2021 03:04 AM PST After a 10 minute hip opening yoga flow last night, I decided to get into check just how far I could go with my splits. It was a deeper that before for sure and didn't really feel any pain or too much strain. Then I heard a pop, got up and continued stretching without any issues. Woke up today and my left leg where the snap was is aching, anyone ever had a similar experience. The pain is on the inner part of the thigh coming up towards the front of the thigh [link] [comments] | ||
| Outer knee pain when stretching hamstrings? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 06:37 PM PST Hello, all! I have a weird pain that happens to my left knee whenever I try to stretch my hamstrings on that side, go into the front splits, or do pancake stretch. It's an on and off thing (if I rest for a week, for example, it seems to heal up a bit), but it still comes back every once in a while. I'll definitely consult a doc if it keeps bothering me, but has anyone dealt with something similar? Here's a screenshot of what I mean: https://imgur.com/gallery/ZXMsBki [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 18 Jan 2021 06:26 PM PST Lately I've been trying to pay more attention to stretching other parts of the body, and I remembered that an acquaintance of mine used to stretch his fingers out of pure boredom, with the other hand, finger by finger. He stretched them for a couple years (since we were kids) so much that he got to a point where he could touch the opposite side of his palm with the fingers of the same hand when pulling them backwards. Back then it seemed very unhealthy for everyone, but maybe his ligaments and tendons where just healthily flexible now that I think about it, or not? Is that level of flexibility healthy for one's fingers? He never hurt neither of his hands if you're wondering. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 18 Jan 2021 07:51 AM PST I stretch every evening and have been for over a year now. I see regular improvements on my side splits but have hit a plateu for my middle splits for a few months. I do the frog pose for 3 minutes straight, straddle for 3 minutes straight, and do one leg straddle while putting my torso down (sorry no idea what the name is) on each side. I finish all my stretches by holding a split for 1 minute each. Is there anything else I could be doing to improve my middle splits? Is it possible that I'm just not built to do middle splits? | I need to improve my mobility and flexibility for toes to bar. Any reccomendations? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 04:24 AM PST I almost have the strength to do toes to bar but feel like I lack in lower body mobility when I try to do one. I can already touch my toes when doing toe touches. All suggestions will be appreciated [link] [comments] |
