    Age restriction?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 08:38 AM PDT

    Hi there,

Sorry if this is a stupid question - i am totally new to this. I heard that after certain age - 30 years old - it's nearly impossible to do the split. Is it true? Starting from now on - after sometime - will it be possible to achieve or it's too late?

What am I doing wrong. No improvement after 1 year.

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 06:20 AM PDT

Hey guys, I'm starting to need some help because I am at the point where I feel like whatever I do is pointless.

A year and a half ago I was starting to get a lot of back pain after playing sports and this was linked to sitting for work the whole day and body becoming really tight.

Since then I have made an effort to stretch everyday, sometimes for a couple of hours a day and sometimes the majority of the day I hold a stretch while working.

This seems to work and whilst the mornings I am really tight, I manage to get back some mobility through stretching.

This all seems to work until I throw in a leg workout. The next few days my legs get sore (as usual) but they also get super insanely tight to the point where I'm only just able to get my hands past my knees stretching. I spend an hour stretching only to find myself 10 minutes later back to where I was unable to reach past my knees.

This gets super frustrating because my back pains come back and no matter how much I stretch during this stage I can't get any looser and it feels like my mobility work I've been doing for the past year is for no reason.

Does anyone else experience this or have any tips to avoid this issue?

    Sharp pain when dynamic stretching

    Posted: 08 Apr 2021 11:51 AM PDT

I was wondering if someone could help me on here. I've been trying to increase my leg kicks with dynamic stretching and in my right leg there's a ping of pain whenever I do a front kick on that side, or a side kick or back kick on my other side.

Is this just a pull? My leg isn't swollen and it only hurts when i'm mid swing.

How I Learned The Full Splits in 30 Days. Hey everybody! I decided to try to learn the middle splits as quickly as possible, and I documented that process in a video. Maybe you can find some value in my stretching routine! Let me know what you think! :)

Something for your recovery days or as a daily movement practice, a 25 Minute Full Body Mobility Routine (Follow Along) with easy and hard variations of each exercise/stretch.

Does Flexibility Help Vertical Leap (Basketball)?

    Posted: 07 Apr 2021 12:38 PM PDT

Hi I am 16 (almost 17) and play competitive basketball. I am 6'3 barefoot and can currently dunk a ball minimally. I have horrendously inflexible. I can reach to about my mid shin when touching my shoes, and am not even close to being able to sit 90 degrees. Would increasing my flexibility help my vertical jump? Regardless, I will be reading some other posts, but if there are any particular stretches you recommend please let me know! Thank you for any help you give.

One day randomly tested how wide I could split, then decided to practice every so often to see progress - have got to this around 125 degrees (sorry for poor picture), but progress has gotten much slower. Am I doing something wrong, is there anything I could do to improve, or does it just slow down?
