He goes into depth about isometric stretching. As far as static and dynamic stretching he gives no protocol on how many different stretches per body part or sets / repetitions. He does give a rep scheme for dynamic stretches, but it's kind of pointless without knowing how many sets per body part to do.

    Does anyone here know?

Tips for getting *out* of front splits

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:04 PM PDT

    Hello all,

I don't do front splits (yet?), but have been working on Kit Laughlin's hamstring stretch, which looks like a lead-in to front splits.

My biggest challenge with this stretch is the exit. It's a tough stretch but rather stable; however, once I reach the end, and want to exit, it feels precarious. My hamstring is quite stretched out (I hope I'm not overdoing it), and I gingerly walk my hands forward ... but every move feels like it could be really just too much.

This feels like a silly question, but I'd be extremely interested if there were any obvious hacks I could do to make that exit easier. Any suggestions appreciated, and downvotes are understood :-)

    Cheers all, jz

Hip feels like its popping out of place when i raise it!! Is there any way i can get rid of this in a few days or quickly? I think its snapping hip syndrome.

Hey all my hip feels like its popping in and out of place when i raise it, straight or bent. Im pretty flexible and I dont know why this is happening. I play soccer almost every day and am hoping I can fix it.

Straight Leg Deadlifts. Hamstrings took 5 days to heal BUT THE STRENGTH AND LENGTH GAINS! These are worth every penny for me. (I know I forgot not to crank my neck again, I was already tired)

    Hamstring flexibility

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:30 AM PDT

I want to begin a path to become flexible. I want to begin doing yoga but I do not think that I am at a point where it is necessary helpful.

My hamstrings are so tight/short that when standing I cannot lift my toes more than half of an inch or so. I am unable to do a squat without my heels lifting - the action of bending my knees lifts my heels.

Where do I even begin? I don't want to rush in too far and break myself tbh.

    Contorture

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:46 AM PDT

I believe this has been asked before, but a long time ago: has anyone tried Contorture? It's pricey, but I'm looking for a course that's a one-time purchase and whose level ranges from beginner to advanced since I used to be very flexible but it has been a few years since I did anything like contortion. This seems to fit those requirements, especially since I am not necessarily bound to strict programming. If you have tried it, what was your experience like? If not, I would still be happy to receive recommendations for other courses.
