- Hamstring weakness causing hip extension
- Why does this stretch exercise hurt my groin area?
- Extremely tight psoas muscle. Is this a strain? Sensitive to touch
- back flexibility
- Hip stretches similar to eagle pose?
- I've been getting fascia manipulation for knee pain, mostly for the spiral line. It has helped, but we had to stop since the manipulation hurt so much - I felt like crying and punching my poor physiotherapist. Can I manage the issue with flexibility training?

Hamstring weakness causing hip extension Posted: 26 Jun 2021 06:57 PM PDT No matter how much yoga I do I can't gain hip extension. So I got thinking, is there any other muscle group weakness that could cause my hips to have no extension at all? It hurts my back. A lot. Is it hamstrings? If I train it with light weights, will that help? Or is it another group BIG PS: I've spoken to a doctor already. No issues. He told me I need to strength my lower body so my hips open up More: that's causing it. But he didn't provide me with any ways to do that and I can't afford PT. Please don't auto remove this because I mentioned pain. I saw a doctor. He told Me it's My hips being too weak to open up. [link] [comments]

Extremely tight psoas muscle. Is this a strain? Sensitive to touch Posted: 26 Jun 2021 06:11 PM PDT I have always had really tight psoas muscles I realized about a year ago. I even injured my hip flexor really bad when I used to play soccer 10 years ago(I'm 31). My day consists of sitting about 12 hours minimum for work and I'll try to hit the gym 2 or 3 times a week for upper body show muscles tbh. Every 2 months or so if I don't stretch or keep my abdominal muscles strong I will sometimes wake up with what feels like a psoas strain on my left or right side. Atm it's left snd even sensitive to touch. I can also even feel it when breathing in or at times if I have a big fart coming through I feel discomfort lol wtf. It will usually go away after 2 or 3 days of stretching / working out my abs. Anyone else ever get this and have a good system of prevention? I'm realizing now I'm probably going to really up my prevention game if this is my new norm as I get older. This only started a year or two ago. I also notice my abs are so tight especially at the bottom middle of them towards my belly button area. Almost like I'm constantly tense and it's passed over. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jun 2021 11:24 AM PDT does anyone know how to get my arms further back when doing the standing stretch where you clasp your hands together and put your arms straight behind you? Then you bend forward with bent knees until your chest is touching your thighs and then keeping your hands and arms in the same position you swing them behind you like straight back and then up and over your head? I cant even get my arms to go straight back, much less over my head. The muscles inbewtween my shoulders are the issue, they are super tight and just wont go further. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jun 2021 12:27 PM PDT I'm a long time yogi, but yoga hasn't been the amswer to this issue ever. There is nothing structurally wrong with my knee - it seems like tight fascia is the root cause. The manipulation was painful as fuck, which is a good indicator that they are too tight. Becuse it hurt so much, we had to stop the manipulation - It literally hurt too much. The few times we were able to do it, I saw a lot of improvement. In my brain I maybe could loosen the fascia up by training my flexibility. Then maybe the manipulation wouldn't hurt so bad. Other background info about me if it helps: F26, I do a lot of cycling, some running, home workouts and weight training, some swimming - in a week workout about 4 times and stretch/do light flexibility yoga 1-3 times. Normal weight, no physical disabilities. Any ideas or recommendations? [link] [comments] |
