7 day progress towards split training

I think this looks pretty cool. And, it doesn't actually require that much flexibility

    Question on long-duration static/passive stretching.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 06:16 PM PDT

I have suuuuuuper tight hips. For example, when I'm doing butterflies and bound angle, I need to sit on 2 blocks - and still have knees above my hips. On top of normal strengthening exercises, I wanted to ask the experts here if sitting in bound angle/butterfly for a long duration, like 20-30 min at a time while watching TV, would be beneficial to speeding up unlocking my hips. Are there many risks to doing this, is it pointless, etc? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Positive for adductor squeeze test. Tips for healing?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 08:03 PM PDT

Hi, I've had pain in my right groin for months now. I'm not a very active person at all so I'm not sure how it happened. It's normally fine but at the times, such as the morning or night, I feel some discomfort. I tried the adductor squeeze test at 0, 45 and 90 degrees, and feel some pain in all three, especially the first two.

Any tips on how to heal this?

Which muscles are being used in the image below?

This is NOT me, I want to make that clear. I'm working on improving my arabesque, its decent, the leg flexibility is there but I mostly struggle in back flexibility. I want to know mainly what part of the back is being used in the image?

    Here is the image

Lost muscle - more flexible than ever

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 01:06 PM PDT

I stopped lifting weights during COVID and lost ~10 pounds of muscle (a lot from my lower body). I don't stretch any more than before, but I am far more flexible... I can now touch beyond my toes.

I had no idea muscle mass could have such a big impact on flexibility. Curious if other people have seen similar transformations and how they think about strength vs. flexibility tradeoff.

Very unflexible, what should I do?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 12:36 PM PDT

So I'm hella rigid and I'm trying to increase my flexibility as I've started training kickboxing. I've stretched a lot in my life having done martial arts growing up as well as other sports, so I'd expect myself to be more flexible but I can't even come close to touching my toes if I reach down.

I'm 6'1 (male) and slim but not skinny. Despite being rigid I am fairly agile because of my body type so I really feel like increasing my flexibility would benefit me in terms of what i'm trying to do. Any specific stretches I should focus on?

How I got my split in one single day. No clickbait. But description of the method I used in case somebody wants to seriously improve flexibility fast.
