Pranayama: Question about what seems like prana deposits after practicing spinal breathing |
| Question about what seems like prana deposits after practicing spinal breathing Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:46 PM PDT I do 10 minutes of spinal breathing followed by 20 minutes of mantra centered meditation twice daily. While practicing the spinal breathing, my breath will naturally suspend sometimes and I can feel the prana being drawn from my sacral chakra and then up my sushumna. When this happens I usually get sore bubble like deposits along my back, under my shoulder blades, and in various different spots along my posterior body. I can focus my attention on those spots and after a short while it starts to fizzle and bubble out, then go back up my sushumna. My question is why this occurs and if this is in fact prana getting directed away from my sushumna and forming deposits in my body? Is it caused by a blockage in sushumna? Thank you in advance!
