    Feeling better

    Posted: 12 May 2020 07:28 PM PDT

Hey, Everyone. I just wanted to share that it's been a few weeks since I started stretching more and some of the pain I've had for years is finally going away. I'm so happy. I hope it continues to go away.

Lower back pain due to incorrectly stretching hamstrings

    Posted: 13 May 2020 02:17 AM PDT

Hi, I'm 16, started stretching about 2 weeks ago. My back has been completely fine before, but after about 2 weeks of doing seated pikes (among other stretches) incorrectly, my lower back is now feeling stiff, is uncomfortable when I stand up straight, and hurts when I bend. Is there any stretches I can do to fix it? Or any solution to this problem? Also, are there any stretches I should avoid? (cobra pose for example irritates my back now a little, should i avoid it?)

Starting to stretch. Hamstrings feel like sore muscles after stretching - normal or am I overstretching overstretch hamstrings?

Suspecting I have ATP. Doing stretching and strengthening. After stretching my hamstring literally feel like sore muscles after weight training. I read the FAQ but doesn't really answer this.

    Arm twist

Hi guys! Does anyone know the name of this, or any stretches to do it? I've seen it in a lot of perfomances but I just can't figure out how it's done

    Lift knee in splits?

    Posted: 12 May 2020 02:33 PM PDT

When I am training for the front split, should I lift my back knee and make both my legs strait (in a reverse V) or should I let it on the floor like I see everyone doing? Thanks

My right gluteus is extremely tight. Predicting posture issue. Can someone help / advise me?

    Posted: 12 May 2020 02:31 PM PDT

My right glute is super tight. I feel it flexed 24/7. Went to several Orthos and couple mentioned my legs are equal lenght, but 2 of them mentioned I might have a dynamic shorter leg (something about it locking it in my pelvis while walking). How do I solve this? Strengthen the other glute? Stretch? Anyone had similar?

    Hamstring tenderness

    Posted: 12 May 2020 05:58 AM PDT

I've decided to start a flexibility journey and my first goal is to comfortably touch my toes. I found a hamstring routine and have been doing it every morning for 3 weeks and went from not being able to straighten my knees and getting 8" from the ground to almost barely touching them. So on that note super excited.

My question is the last few days I'm experiencing what best I can describe is hamstring tenderness. My hamstrings feel fine sitting, standing or walking but as soon as I bend at the hips to engage them they feel kind of sore. If I start my routine after the first few stretches the discomfort goes away but later in the day and next morning it's back.

Should I continue to stretch them out daily but back off on the intensity? (Seeing the quick improvements has me pushing a little harder). Or should I maybe only be stretching every other day and focus on another area of stretching and alternate?

    Thanks and stay safe everyone

Huge knots and tightness in front hip (TFL?)

    Posted: 12 May 2020 08:06 AM PDT

I've had issues my whole life with tightness at or near my TFL. When I sit on the ground 90 degrees with my legs straight on the ground and my back propped up, I can only touch my upper shins. I have never been able to touch my toes.

In another test, when I stand up, and bring one leg straight up off the ground, my foot only gets about 5 inches off the ground. I also have trouble kicking (if I was doing a tae Kwan do kick)

When I flex my leg out put in front of me, I can see a big ball at my TFL. When I compare it to others, it is much much bigger and I believe is causing these issues.

What can I do to fix my problem?

While my hamstrings could be tight, I don't believe that is the major limiter
