Knee Tightness whenever doing a Quad Stretch.

    Posted: 31 May 2020 02:38 AM PDT

Recently picked up stretching since i noticed that I couldn't do exercises like L-sits with good quality. My hip flexors couldn't bring my legs up to a point where I look like an L. Whenever I do quad stretches my left knee feels like its being pulled and it hurts. My right knee is all good. I looked it up on what's causing my left knee to feel this pain and saw that quad tightness might lead the knees to feel the discomfort. I've also noticed that whenever I attempt to do an L-sit my left legs quads start to feel so god damned tight and my right leg's quads don't feel any discomfort. Any tips on how to tackle tight quads? I'm still doing quad stretches but i give my left leg an easier and safer stretch than my right.

By quad stretch I mean this

Can I reach high back flexibility if im very inflexible in my 20s.

    Posted: 30 May 2020 05:47 PM PDT

Hi! I (23F) am super super super inflexible, and Im not exaggerating, Im SUPER inflexible. I am far from being able to touch my toes, my back cant curve well. I have been doing basic beginners back exercises such a cat cow, lunges, sphynx, cobra many other basic ones everyday for around 30 minutes each day. I havent seen any difference in my back flexibility I feel at all. my leg stretches I do see a difference, a little one but a difference nonetheless. But for my back i feel so inflexible I want to be able to achieve a deeper back bend.

Any advice on how to tackle this? How long would it take, should I increase the time I do it?

also fyi im 5'11 if that helps with anything!

    Thank you soo much!

Is it safe to hold 30 seconds stretches on cold muscles ?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 11:11 AM PDT

Complete noob here. I'm not flexible at all but I want to improve that. Can I just stretch anytime I want or is a warm up necessary everytime? Asking for static stretches specifically because I came to understand those are more beneficial than dynamic ones. Thanks in advance for your answers.
