Have a "stupid" question and are afraid to ask it? (Or don't want to make a whole thread for it?) Well, feel free to ask away in this thread! There's no such thing as a stupid question. This is also a great opportunity for the rest of the community to help each other out.

    Guidelines:

    • As always, read the FAQ to make sure your question isn't answered already.
    • If you're looking for the Motivational Month threads from the past, they are all here in our Wiki.
    • You can also use the search bar to see if an answer to your question exists already.

Playing around with my newfound splits. It still feels far too surreal! This is far from perfect, but I’ve never been able to do this before!

Over a year to get my King Pigeon pose. Bottom is from Aug 2018. Tight shoulders/chest made it hard. Slowed down, was patient and focused on yoga. Heart openers, daily neck stretches, strap work, yoga wheel, and just respecting the pace of my body.

What do you guys use as a reference for your routines?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:52 PM PDT

Just wondering what you guys use to look at your routines while doing stretches? Do you use your phone? Do you follow routines on your tv? Do you have a laptop? I was thinking about printing the section that details all the stretches for that overall routine recommended so I can read how to do the stretches properly while I stretch.

I know some of you are experienced and probably know how to do everything by head, but I'm just wondering what you guys prefer basically.

Wondering how long it would take to achieve doing the splits

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:00 PM PDT

I've been reading a lot and I keep getting the information that it could take between two weeks to a year or more. Im trying to figure out how long it would be for me. Current using the 30 day splits training app and it has definitely helped. I can touch my toes and go a little further to the palm and I'm about 6 or 8 inches off the ground when I try the front splits. For some reason right leg in front is easier?

Are there any benefits to a higher volume of cat/cows compared to a lower volume?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:25 PM PDT

I'm trying to fix my anterior pelvic tilt and I'm already training core + glutes on my workout days. Everyday, I do cat/cows throughout the day. I start with 3x10 cat/cows in the morning and do 10 cat/cows during my breaks such as washroom breaks and snack breaks. I also do 3x10 cat/cows before bed. This adds up to around 100 cat/cows in a day. I feel like all the work is done by training core + glutes and cat/cow feels like a warmup.

    Hip pain, normal?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 09:27 AM PDT

    Hello everyone!

I'm really getting into the stretching and becoming flexible and doing the different moves right to get the most out of it. And this is a pretty simple stretch I guess? Not sure but, when I'm laying on my back, tucking my knees to my chest, it feels like my hips/thighs? Area are kinda going against each other? I'm not sure how to explain it but I'm hoping that someone know what I mean and have an idea if this is a normal uncomfortable stretching or if it's not a good thing?

Learning the front splits but not sure which leg to practice on?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:51 AM PDT

Iv been putting some time into the front splits recently but iv come into a problem. I'm not sure which leg to use as my back leg. My goals are to help my football(Australian rules) but I'm not sure how to get the maximum benefit with putting the correct leg forward. I'm a right footer and ideally would like to gain the flexibility and stabilisation into it.
