| Posted: 20 Jun 2020 12:22 PM PDT Normally I'll do a light leg stretch every day as I bicycle a lot. A couple times a week I'll do a longer, deeper leg stretch of all those muscles. The next day when I wake up, my lower back feels like I deadlifted too much. Just very tight and sore. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong, or what I can do to help counteract this? Thanks! | Why do I have pain in my upper hamstring? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 01:17 PM PDT Hiya The pain is located high up in the back of my left leg and almost into the glute area. I notice the pain simply by touching my toes (which I used to be able to do without the pain). My right leg is not affected at all. It's been bugging me for a couple of months now and I'm pretty sure I know what caused the pain. I was following a yoga video on youtube and I was doing the standard front splits stretch technique (with my left leg in front), not that I can go down particularly far. I remember rotating my hips to the right for some reason and hearing a pop in my left thigh. It didn't hurt initially but the next day I was feeling it. It's not a huuuge issue in every day life, but I can feel it when my body goes through certain motions. It's frustrating now however, as I'm trying to improve my hamstring flexiblity and this pain is totally onstructing any progress. Does anyone have an idea about what muscle/tendon/etc might be the cause and how I can remedy it? [link] [comments] | ||
| Do one of you have some stretching for leg behind head ? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 07:17 AM PDT I'm stretching since one or two month to become flexible and I saw that pose when you put your leg behind your head and I would love to be able to do it. [link] [comments] | ||
| 27 M toe walking my entire life (should I just get surgery Posted: 20 Jun 2020 09:28 AM PDT okay background, I've toe walked my entire life, cant touch my toes, and have the flexibility of a pretzel, I've been to physio and had gym training but it has maybe fixed about 10% of the problem, over the course of 2 years I will admit I don't have the interest or the will power to do all the stretches i'm supposed to do, and at this point i'm considering just saying screw it and going for surgery to just get this fixed once and for all I was considering taking up a sport or some physical activity, maybe its just that I find the stretches to be boring, but if I took up something like Rockclimbing or Swimming I might actually enjoy it (and not see as homework to slack off on) that could help? or is this just something I cant fix without surgery given my age? | Does Hip Flexor Groin pain issue heal by itself? Posted: 20 Jun 2020 08:57 AM PDT I don't know how to explain this, but I'll try my best. So, I was doing some exercises yesterday and before I begun my exercises, I forcedly kicked my legs into air so they stretch. I mean like I heavily forced my legs down into the air as if I am kicking something. Didn't feel any pain the, continued my other exercises(push ups and planks). Next day I woke up with my groin area paining badly. I searched the internet and figured that's its the hip flexor issue that's causing this pain in groin and obviously, its because of what I mentioned above. Now I am really worried as hip flexor description says something like muscles maybe torn or something like that... I will be starting my job in 6 weeks from now where I will be standing abd walking for 10hrs a shift. Should I be worried or is this something that heals automatically in a week or two? I do have some swelling in the pain areas but not too much swelling. Someone please help me!!!? Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||
