Front Walkover Lagging Leg and Upper Back Soreness tips

I have been working on my front walkover ever since I started my back flexibility journey. I used to basically do a front handspring stepout because I wasn't flexible enough to open my shoulders and control the landing. Since taking this video two days ago my upper back has been INSANELY sore. I sneezed today and it felt like someone stabbed me in between my shoulder blades. Anyone have any tips for relieving upper back soreness other than the heat + foam roller? Looking for any good upper back opposing muscle stretches that people like for helping the soreness.

Also am in need on tips or drills on keeping my second leg up longer. My body rises from the ground after my second leg has already touched down, and my split isn't as wide as I would like it to be (even though I'm flexible enough to do a 1.5 ft over split).

    Thanks!

    Flexibility training with hypermobility?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:06 AM PDT

Hope this is the right place to post this! Long story short I'm a life long dancer who was recently diagnosed with a hypermobility disorder. In the past I was constantly hurt because I was training like a normal person would without awareness of my bodies issues. I've now been off of dance over a year and am dying to get back to it. Unfortunately I've been hard pressed to find any good information/ programs for flexibility training with hypermobility. If anyone has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated! (Basically hypermobility means my joints are super loose so subluxation and dislocation are very easy)
