Day 1 at trying to touch my toes! Whish me luck. See you in 30 days!

Well, my english sucks. I apology beforehand. I usually workout a bit now that we are all in lockdown, but I've decided to put it on hold, and work on my flexibility, which has been always terrible. I'm aware that my form is terrible too, I will try to work on it.

I will take the opportunity to ask you guys a question. Should I strart every routine with a little bit of general movement, like jumping the rope a bit, and dynamic stretchs to warm up? Or should I do it whitout doing any warm up?
And do you find any app useful? I have a little problem with self discipline, so an app with reminders, and ready to go routines with demonstrations can be very useful to me.

Thanks a lot! This subreddit is amazing

Two steps forward one step back...

    Posted: 06 Jun 2020 04:42 AM PDT

    Hey all,

Very new to this, but have been training to try and reach front splits for the past 30 days and hit a stumbling block.

After two weeks or so I felt like I was really making progress, but for the past week I've completely stiffened up and I'm pretty much back at square one, or worse!

I'm taking tests every few days or so.

Super frustrating and can't seem to find anything online to see if this is just part of the process or if I'm doing something wrong.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!x

I think I tried to stretch too far and now I can’t walk without a sharp pain in my inner hamstring

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 08:30 PM PDT

Was doing some inner hamstring stretching a few hours ago, I can easily get elbows to floor and I tried to see how close I could get my head to the ground by pulling on my feet. I got really close and then I felt a pop in my left inner upper thigh followed by some slight pain. Fast forward to now, I can't walk without feeling a sharp pain in the same area, really concerned that I went too far too fast. Should I seek medical attention, or should I just wait it out. I've dealt with a lot of inner hamstring pain in the same leg over the past few weeks and I was able to overcome the pain gradually.

Can anyone recommend stretches to achieve my goal of putting my foot behind my head farther back? I also can’t seem to do this without holding my other foot not sure why

How can I improve split flexibility?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 10:52 AM PDT

Hey guys...I've been stretching for roughly 30-40 minutes everyday for the past 25 days. I am very close to getting my front splits. I touched the ground the day before yesterday but now I can't quite touch it. Also my back leg keeps twisting to the side whenever I try to sit down flat. Any tips on how I can improve my split? I am about half an inch off the ground
