    Question for long term practitioners of Pranayama: during puraka or rechaka, how far should I go? Just the tidal volume (to the extent of normal breathing) or reserve volume of the lungs, i.e. maximum possible inhalation and exhalation?

    Does this depend on the type of pranayama being performed? I am interested specifically in Nadi Shodana and Ujjayi
