Have a "stupid" question and are afraid to ask it? (Or don't want to make a whole thread for it?) Well, feel free to ask away in this thread! There's no such thing as a stupid question. This is also a great opportunity for the rest of the community to help each other out.

    Guidelines:

    • As always, read the FAQ to make sure your question isn't answered already.
    • If you're looking for the Motivational Month threads from the past, they are all here in our Wiki.
    • You can also use the search bar to see if an answer to your question exists already.
    • We are not medical professionals. If something hurts and it doesn't go away within a week's rest, see one!

    Enjoy!

Took a few months to get here, it’s a such a good feeling to be able to this forward fold. Any tips on how I can deepen the posture and relax my shoulders?

    Flip Grip?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 12:00 AM PDT

Hi guys, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do anything that requires reaching overhead and back.

I can do a bridge on my forearms (hands clasped) but literally nowhere close in king pigeon (if I reach back). If I use a wall to attempt king pigeon (like a couch stretch) my head is pretty close if I lean back with arms down but once I try to teach overhead and back, I'm actually less close lol. The drop back bridge is not possible if I try to lead with hands but I can do a wall walk with bent arms.

Is this normal? Is it just my poor shoulder mobility exposing me or is there a cue I'm missing?

Feeling overwhelmed when doing head down poses

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 02:19 PM PDT

Hi. I don't know if anyone has ever asked this before. But when mi hands, arms or forearms are the ones that hold my weight, even if it is not completely, I don't feel like great?? I mean I see people doing yoga with their legs in the air and feeling fine with a normal face but I feel overwhelmed, stressed and without being able to breathe property. I know I don't have the best flexibility, but sometimes, even if I can last longer stretching my back, I have to stop because I feel like mi face is going to explode :(

Okay don't get me wrong, it not like the worst thing ever, but I don't know if it's normal, but I just have to get to it.

    Thank you!!

Need help regarding my upper body flexibility (I can't seem to find answers to my problem)

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 09:38 AM PDT

    Hey everyone!

First off, I have searched quite a lot on Reddit and I still can't seem to find the solution that's why I've made this post. I've been bodybuilding for awhile now and I've been very chest dominant. Because of this, my regular posture has my thumbs almost facing each other and my shoulders are rounded forward. Now the problem is, I keep watching videos/reddit threads etc on how to fix this and it's always the same solution about reaching your arms behind your back and doing the towel pulls, or clasping your hands together behind your back and reaching back. The problem is I literally can't do that. I can force it, but then my rear shoulders start cramping up real hard and ends up hurting a bit. I want to have really good mobility but I can't seem to get past this first obstacle.

Is there a routine I can follow to aid with this?

PS: I'm really sorry if there is already a solution to this but I couldn't find any from searching. Hope I don't break the rules!
