    Context, The Power of Now:

As long as the egoic mind is running your life, you cannot truly be at ease; you cannot be at peace or fulfilled except for brief intervals when you obtained what you wanted, when a craving has just been fulfilled. Since the ego is a derived sense of self, it needs to identify with external things. It needs to be both defended and fed constantly. The most common ego identifications have to do with possessions, the work you do, social status and recognition, knowledge and education, physical appearance, special abilities, relationships, personal and family history, belief systems, and often also political, nationalistic, racial, religious, and other collective identifications. None of these is you.

Do you find this frightening? Or is it a relief to know this? All of these things you will have to relinquish sooner or later. Perhaps you find it as yet hard to believe, and I am certainly not asking you to believe that your identity cannot be found in any of those things. You will know the truth of it for yourself. You will know it at the latest when you feel death approaching. Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" -- and find that there is no death.

    Sensing Life

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 02:02 PM PDT

I am going to die one day.

Sitting with this thought, I am hoping to let this knowledge seep into me. I want this to change me.

    I am alive right now.

    It is an incredible gift.

I am typing on this keyboard, sitting in a room, on a planet, traveling through space.

Every sensation, I am trying to maximize the feeling of every experience and sensation.

To not forget that I am alive, and that every moment should be cherished, that is the goal.

I stopped typing to reach for a glass of milk, and to sip from it.

Upon doing so, I quickly realized I had forgotten to pay attention to every detail and sensation in the experience of reaching for the milk and sipping. I reached and sipped as if on autopilot.

Regaining my focus, I returned to feeling each and every sensation.

    The glass is heavy.

Piano music is playing from my Spotify playlist.

    I am relaxed.

I am so lucky to be sensing my fingertips touching this keyboard.

I am so lucky to experience this music flooding my consciousness.

I must remember to focus on sensing.

    Death is real.

My experience of life is transient.

I am so lucky to be reading what I wrote.

    Importance of yoga before meditation

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 06:37 PM PDT

I think many people would be rather impressed at the improvement of their sessions if they meditated or did some physical activity before. Yoga is the union of, it literally prepares the body for meditation. From the proper breathing with it, to expanding the body inside, it creates an environment highly suitable to the psyche, and relaxed for the body. Try it!

    You are enough

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 01:41 PM PDT

I am no longer the self that i was

    The self is gone

I am the breathe that moves in and out

The skin that feels the breeze

The ears that hear the trees wisper with the wind

The fingers that sift through the sand

I am nothing but everything at once

    But that is enough

Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 01:48 PM PDT

Everything external is really happening within us. Change the way you feel inside, and the outside will follow. As within, so without. The mind is the biggest obstacle

Is it possible to keep our mind empty/thoughtless through yoga or meditation?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 02:32 AM PDT

It is very difficult to keep the mind empty or thoughtless, but it is possible if we engage the mind on a particular thought, some particular contemplation. Yes, it may be meditation but we must understand what that meditation is. It is not trying to make the mind silent - it is focusing the mind on a profound thought, on a profound question, on a specific image. Yes, if we are in Yoga; true Yoga, in Divine Union with the Lord, the mind can be made silent. Otherwise, the mind is a monkey, it jumps from thought to thought.

    Meditation brings creativity

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 02:29 AM PDT

meditation makes one more creative. This very creativity is a result of the energy saved.

Being creative means being alive, being joyous, being ecstatic, being silent.

Failed astral projection attempt got me into the longest meditation of my life

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 09:40 PM PDT

Got to a point where the body is completely asleep but the mind is awake and couldn't move from there. Decided to just enjoy the feeling of the vibrating body and numbness and just kept going. 50 minutes and a shit load of deep breaths later i opened my eyes and felt like a completely new man.

    9/10 would try again

Meditating feels good and I stopan stop

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 07:16 PM PDT

I have been anxious and unhappy for a number of years. I've noticed over time my meditation practice has evolved into something that makes me quite happy. I notice that I've learned to breath in a way that creates joy. When I meditate and this happens the joy makes me uncomfortable and I stop meditation and stand up. Has anyone experienced this? How do you get beyond it? It's almost like I don't want to be happy.

    A question about a beep

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 10:40 PM PDT

So I was practicing mindfulness meditation outside and it was an incredibly calm night, I was enjoying the serenity. In the distance, I hear this beep. I acknowledge it and refocus my attention to my breath. I don't focus on "time" when I meditate, but 45 ish second later, the beep repeats itself. The beep repeated itself again and again.

I thought this would be a great opportunity. I knew the beep would continue, just like how I can usually expect gusts of wind. But instead of just being mindful of the repeating beep, I found myself irritated and almost waiting for the beep.

I slowly became more frustrated that this was affecting my practice for the night, and came inside after 16 minutes 30 seconds, where I would typically stay out for 45 minutes.

I have accepted the situation for what it is and am no longer frustrated, but am just looking for some insight from anybody willing to share. Thank you.

Can you do a mixture of meditation and day dreaming?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 09:49 PM PDT

Like I can focus on my body and breath. But pretend I am in peaceful environment like being near a waterfall of being surrounded by nature. Like I can be doing breathing exercises. But at the same time I can allow my mind to go. I can still be in my room but be in a different location focusing on breathing. Like this:

    Revelation

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 12:25 PM PDT

Little did I know I always had help along the way. Little did I know I always send and receive love and kindness. Looking back on your journey, I want y'all to be mindful of the love that held us together. I want put you into perspective, I ask you to forget about your problems for now and truly see how we have come along. Despite the traumas and tragedies that happened throughout human history, we always carry on. In this cosmic web of creation, we're the parts that made up the whole. Each of us is fulfilling our roles. Now take a moment to recall an act of kindness you received and be grateful. Take another moment. Now looking back on your life, realize and appreciate those moments. Ask yourself, would you have made this far without the help of others? Would you even have been here? Realize when you're kind and loving, you're fulfilling your destiny. Now step away from your memory, look at the whole picture: each of us is relaying and propagating love and kindness, which in turn propels the creation. Now you see, there is no catch. The beauty of the creation has no condition. Love has no condition. All you have to do is to open up your eyes and see for yourself.
The next time you see the nightly sky with twinkling lights, what do you see?

P.S. If you like this message. Please share. We CAN make this world a better place.

How to stop attracting narcissist as empath/intuitive? During the quarantine, there was this guy called Sebastian J. from Poland on reddit who wasted my time for 2-3 months. It turns out he’s a pathological liar and has sex with random prostitutes.

During the quarantine, there was this guy called Sebastian J. from Poland on reddit who wasted my time for 2-3 months. It turns out he's a pathological liar and has sex with random prostitutes. I'm glad I found out what kind of person he was and true colors finally :)

I was being there for him. I was empathetic and listening to his problems, etc. On the other hand, he was emotionally unstable like constantly has a change of mind/mood. He was quick to drop you or friends like they are nothing or objects. It shows signs of narcissism.

He "acts" like he's a nice person but he is a very abusive and manipulative person. He's quite narcissistic, manipulative, abusive & toxic but he thinks he is above everyone else. I was being a great friend while he was nasty to me. He was abusive. He came from a pathological household. No wonder he's the same way.

I gave him space, time, and attention to vent to me but all he did was abuse me and my time. This is a crazy guy. He has some serious issues because he would often say things about how much he hates his family or friends. He was always changing his mind and behavior/mood everyday. He was not a good person. He was toxic even though he claims that he was not toxic.

He is an insensitive, emotionless robot. I saw his true colors and I have to thank him for it :)

I am glad I am no longer friends with him 😊

So I wonder if anybody has experience with this? How do I stop attracting narcissistic people? What are some wounds or trauma that need to be healed to stop this pattern? Thank you for your help! :)
