    More progress with less stretching?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 03:46 AM PDT

I was in the habit of stretching legs and back nearly every day and was seeing good progress However recently it's been more like once a week and I seem to be making faster progress? I know that people recommend rest days in a stretching routine but can stretching for 30mins-1hr once a week really work well?

Need help and advice with front splits, and holding front kicks.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 12:22 AM PDT

Hi, I've run into a plateau with trying to improve the flexibility of my front splits and holding out front kicks.

Apart from my hamstrings that take time to get loose, I feel a burning sensation that's annoying and across most of the front of my thigh on the rear leg that's facing the ground on my front split, applicable for both legs. For what it's worth, I don't experience this when my rear leg is rotated off to the side when I practice the split for side kicks and split kicks.

As for the issue of holding front kicks. I'm both at a plateau on height (up to my stomach) and experiencing a similar burn close again on the front of my thigh, but closer to where my kneecap would be.

Any tips (ie- supplemental stretches, etc) for trying to overcome or improving either would be much appreciated, thanks.

Time to bid goodbgoodbye to the joint pains. Kandasan is derived from the Sanskrit word-Kanda which actually means ‘bulbous’ and ‘asana’ which means pose. The name is kept as such because the feet look like that of an onion bulb when in the posture of the yoga.

Stretches for particular position in bed

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 07:23 PM PDT

Hi! I've been really interested in trying this one sex position where one takes both legs and puts them behind their head. Weird goal, but I was hoping to get some suggestions for stretches to achieve this. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Jk. Not called the pretzel dip xd

    Day 1: successfully completed!

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 12:22 PM PDT

I actually started with this a few days ago but I had an emotional breakdown that day so I didn't end up doing anything. Today I found some workouts and started again!

I did a strength workout on my legs first and then, stretching time! I felt like it had an effect on me, and I honestly didn't expect my splits to be as down as they were (they're still not fully down but I thought they would be worse)

Tomorrow I'll do more! Thank you for supporting me!

How to gain flexibility in the arms

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 07:54 PM PDT

For as long as I can remember (high school was when I really noticed about 10 years ago) I have never been able to straighten my arms to a full 180 degrees, they are always slightly bent when extended. My arms have never been injured and there's no pain, just inflexibility.

I have tried to research stretches and how to fix this but it all pertains to healing from injury which is not me. Has anyone heard of this before? And do you have any ideas of how to stretch this? I've been working on stretching the bicep but am unsure if this is what I need.

I would love to be able to do a comfortable downward dog that doesn't leave me shaking and my triceps burning!

    Thank you!

    Contracting glutes during Jefferson Curls

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 02:51 PM PDT

I've been doing around 5kg Jefferson Curls in my routine to start getting more flexibility in my hamstrings, but I find myself contracting my glutes when I'm folding to get in to the stretch.

Should I try to completely relax my body when I'm folding or is a bit of contraction in the glutes okay?
