| Posted: 08 Aug 2020 01:16 AM PDT Hey guys! I just joined this sub hoping you guys could give me some advice. I pulled a hamstring like a few months ago maybe almost a year, during the time I tried to kick up as high as I can and I felt a pop and I didnt do any exercises or stretches and now to this day it still hurts I went to physical therapy and stuff but nothing worked. Now I am going to try stretching and exercising again but I was wondering if its too late and that maybe its healed and I might need to see a doctor or something? I did the butterfly stretch today and on my right i felt the stretch on the lower part on the bottom of my thigh and on my left which is the good leg I feel the stretch on the top part on the bottom of my thigh when doing these exercises. I was wondering if anyone got any advice or recommend any doctors that could help or if I need to get an mri? Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||

| Need some advice- bad posture and possible femoral anteversion Posted: 07 Aug 2020 09:31 PM PDT Hi everyone, I would like some advice on where and how to begin working on my horrible posture. Nerd neck almost disappearing into my body, rounded shoulders, ZERO flexibility. I sit on my computer and work about 12-16 hours a day and when I'm sitting elsewhere, I'm involuntarily sitting in a W position. I have trouble sitting in the usual lotus pose and feel my hip and thigh joint straining. I can barely sit that way for over five minutes. I used to play a lot of sports when I was younger and had some major accidents that messed up my back and ankles but my backs completely recovered now. My ankle still acts up sometimes. I've had people tell me that sometimes my left foot is a bit crooked while walking. I've always walked with my toes a bit inward but none of my family members thought it was weird because my aunt also sat in the same way all her life and they just thought it was something that passed onto me. I've started walking around much more and getting some exercise, but I really need some advice about the stuff that I mentioned above. I just moved to a new country and I'll need to get registered with a general physician which might take some time, but if there's something I can do by myself, I'll do it for sure. Thank you so much for your time! [link] [comments] | ||

| Should I continue training my middle split knowing I'll never fully achieve it? Posted: 07 Aug 2020 10:55 AM PDT I have been training my front splits (one leg in front, one leg behind) and middle splits (legs pointing at the sides) for about 1 year now. I see improvement in my front splits (I can almost touch the floor) but no improvement in my middle splits (I'm still about 18 inches away from the floor). I did some research and it seems some people just don't have the bone structure necessary to do a full middle split. Should I just stop doing all the stretches that I'm doing for getting the middle splits? Is it a waste of time trying to work towards something that I will never achieve? [link] [comments] | ||
