Did not know where to ask about foam rollers

Are they supposed to hurt like hell? Like, literaly i cannot keep my back on it more than 10 seconds. I may be too heavy tho. I have marks on my back ( like somebody hit me on with a teaspoon ) like two days after. Noticed it when i was showering and was scared to death, then when i saw a pattern i realised what it was. The only thing that is puzzling to me is that i felt really good after, like a rush of warmth in the back muscles.

I got it in a store that sells sport equipement ( Karstadt ) but nothing specific unless its a known brand.

Should they be softer? Any advice on what to look for

Sitting long hours and or standing long hours can of course effect posture. This can also be a burden for the hips and lower back. Counteract your daily activity and movements with hip and tension relief routines to help you feel your best.

    beginner hip mobility drills

    Posted: 25 Sep 2020 08:03 AM PDT

    hi y'all -

I tried doing this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me6-PXghduQ and realized that I couldn't really successfully complete the sequence. Do you all know of a more approachable hip mobility video? Bonus points if it is done by a yogi.

If you had to do 2-3 movements to warm up for the backbend bridge, what would they be?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2020 06:56 AM PDT

Between strength training and cardio, I rarely have enough time for long stretching sessions. I've done back bends before, and from my experience, I believe it's the most effective and efficient fullbody stretch I've done.

I want to do the bridge everyday, prior to my strength or cardio session. Since we're approaching the cold season, I'll need to spend more time warming up and that's fine.

I just want something simple that I can stick with and not dread doing before working out.

Looking for stretching apps/routines that are good for deep stretching and full body flexibility?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2020 10:14 AM PDT

I'm a beginner but I'm already pretty limber. I want to get into contortion-style levels of flexibility, but haven't found any really good resources for it yet. Do you guys have any recommendations?

    Only sitting cross legged

    Posted: 25 Sep 2020 06:05 AM PDT

I tired searching, but all I can is posts of about the opposite issue.

I can't sit comfortably for more than a minute or two without crossing my legs. Crossing them either way is fine. It doesn't matter if I sit on the floor or a chair; I need to cross my legs to remain comfortable. Sitting with my legs straight out in front of me (floor) or with Borge feet flat on the floor (chair) is not comfortable. What is tight?
