Pranayama: Pranayama Ratio Benefits |
| Posted: 10 Sep 2020 11:28 AM PDT In Pranayama, there are sama vritti (equal duration for inhalation and exhalation) and visama vritti (unequal duration for inhalation and exhalation) methods. Is it always required to practice sama vritti before practicing visama vritti? I find it easy to do 1 (inhalation):4 (retention):2 (exhalation), however when I do sama vritti (1:1:1), I still find a lot of air inside me after exhalation. Is this normal or should I adjust myself to do proper sama vritti? Also, is there any reference material on the effects of different ratios of doing pranayama? [link] [comments] |
