- Side twists are very important for backbends, theyre not to be neglected. I noticed that the more Ive been stretching my sides and twists, the smoother i can move in my backbends
- Just under a year of progress, but now it feels like my abs are too tight to allow me to push more through my legs. Is this a hip flexor problem?
- Bridges, splits, and specific training?
- Question about Degree

| Bridges, splits, and specific training? Posted: 15 Oct 2020 06:20 PM PDT Hi, I'm a beginner and for the past week I've been doing my own version of the starting stretching routine. I'm not flexible at all, but I hope that with consistency, I'll get there some day. I do have long term goals, those being bridges and splits. I want to start off by saying: it's way to early for me to start training these elements directly, I know. I can't even touch my toes with a flat back, or touch my pelvis to the floor doing seal stretches. So, my first question is: when will I be ready to move on? I'm not looking for a date, but rather road marks, such as being able to do a certain stretch or pose. Secondly, if you have achieved these, I have several more questions: when did you start training (not a date, but rather road marks, ex. I started when I could pike etc.)? What routine did you do? How much time a day/week did you put in? Do you feel your results could have been the same/better with more/less? My biggest question is is it better to spend time in these positions, or just to focus on overall flexibility first? To simplify my question: what's the best method to achieve my goals of bridge and splits, starting from the complete beginning? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 15 Oct 2020 01:39 PM PDT Hi guys! Quick question for you all! I'm in PT for what we assume is a lower back injury leading to sciatica (but the jury is still out on that), and I just saw in my notes she measured my Straight Leg Raise on the left leg as -18 and the right as -25. Does this mean I have flexibility to 108° on the left and 115° on the right? [link] [comments] |
