Have you noticed a difference in how flexible/mobile you are based on how much water you drink? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:48 AM PDT I'm curious about this since water is such a crucial part of almost every bodily process. I lift weights regularly, and I've even noticed that drinking more water helps with recovery. Has anyone seen an improvement in their stretching or mobility routine after making an effort to drink more water? [link] [comments]

What are some good stretches to get a back bend like this? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:59 PM PDT Here (around 2:24). I know it's while she's skating buut I'm kinda curious on how to get started to get a back bend like that... Or just a simple tiny back bend it's okay ahaha Any routines to recommend to me? I'm medium flexibility but pretty much none of it is on my back hahah [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:25 AM PDT I hope this is the best place to ask this. I suffered an injury whilst stretching and wonder how it happened, what I did wrong and what I have injured. My GP is only able to tell me I've pulled a muscle in my back and to take anti inflammatories I had finished a leg and abs workout in the gym and was stretching. I was sat on a mat with my right leg stretched out, and was leaning forward with my right hand to touch my toes so I was bent right over. I took one deep breath whilst still stretched and felt a bit of discomfort in the left side of my mid back. I thought nothing of it and whilst staying in position I took another deep breath and bang - I felt that part of my back go. I can feel the strain now only when I twist left or right Should I not have taken deep breaths whilst in the stretched position? Or was my lower/mid back maybe weak from the workout? I had done squats and deadlifts so they are pretty complex movements. The last exercise I did prior to stretching was toe taps, which would have worked my obliques [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:58 AM PDT I used to do Gymnastic Acrobatic Duo partner work, about 3 years ago, I still have extreme back flexibility, but my splits need to be better. I am getting a evaluation for seeing if I am fix for team in approx. a week. Can anyone give advice on getting as flexible as possible in such a short amount of time? I don't expect to have like crazy flexibility in a week, but a stronger core and more flexible legs and less sore back would be awesome! Thanks guys! For reference I am 16 Years Old [link] [comments]
Achilles tendon tear 5mm both feet, what exercises do I need to avoid? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:48 AM PDT doctor told me today that both(feet) my Achilles tendons have a 5mm tear about 5cm up from where they join to my ankle, what exercises do I need to avoid to make it worse? what can I do to better/ support the Achilles tendon in the future.. I'm guessing any weight loss will be beneficial long term. even muscle mass. [link] [comments]
