Flexibility routine for better sex ? Can you break down this movement for me ?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 01:41 PM PDT

Hi everyone, this subject is extreeemely embarrassing for me which is why I'm using a throwaway account. I'm 23F and I've recently started working on my flexibility.

I am stiff all around and I have recently started a routine to break the 90° in my squats and it's working ( yaaay) .But I still have a problem with a particular movement and I'm not sure what muscles it involves bcs I've never been able to do it. Basically it's thrusting when I'm on top in sex . I just ... Can't do it . My range of motion is tiny. I'm guessing it's the twerking movement ? which I'm also unable to do . If I had to guess I would say it involves bringing your pelvis back and forth (curving your back) so a bit of lower back mobility ???? I have no idea .

So please guys what do you think I should work on ? Can you break down the movement for me ? And maybe if there is a routine you could recommend ?

Hamstring sore for 2 weeks ...?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 08:15 PM PDT

    Hi Everyone !

I've always been quite active with flexibility work

I do them everyday from bridges , pancakes , split work etc ( I work on each aspect once a week )

But lately I've been suffering from golfer's elbow so I decided to increase my front split work from 1x-2x a week ( I've been practicing Splits for 6 months )

Usually my left hammies gets super sore after a split session but they'd go away is 2 - 4 days time

So after my previous session it was sore as usual but this time it lasted 14 days + now it's getting much better but it's still there when I squat etc ... which is a little concerning

I've stopped any hamstring stretches , pikes , FS , middle splits etc and I'm gonna cut down my volume since ... well it seems I've pushed too hard

So anyone had the same problem? Does it sound like a strain ?

I've posted my training insta so you guys can have a look what im doing wrong

My upper/middle back gets tired/sore during pancake stretches

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 10:53 PM PDT

Is this normal? I just started doing pancake good mornings sitting on higher platforms with a 5lb weight and my upper/mid back gets tired/sore. I don't think it's because of the weight because it's the same without the weights.

Reached a plateau in middle splits

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 02:45 PM PDT

So, I've always been a pretty naturally flexible person. It only took me a few days of consistent stretching (before I knew you shouldn't do intense stretching everyday) to reach my first ever splits on both sides. Except, I haven't really had any progress in my middle splits. When I do a straddle against the wall during intense stretching, I'm only maybe two inches at most from the wall. But when I try to do my middle splits, I just feel like there's something blocking me from moving. I've done it against the wall to make sure I'm not leaning forwards or backwards, but I still can't go any further. What should I be working on? I feel like it's my hip flexors, but any stretches I've done for them has felt pretty weak (frog pose, lunge). Any tips for getting deeper in middle splits?

Also, sorry for the long post lol

    Glute activation/strength

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 04:40 PM PDT

Anyone know or have a list of glute drills that I can use for middle and front splits? Also, does anyone know the placement of glute work? For example should I do them in a warmup like I do stuff like deadlifts or squats or are they better suited superset with front or middle splits?

Have you tried any of these techniques along side your mobility/flexibility routine? Incredible how effective this has been for my ankle and wrist mobility, SO SIMPLE BUT IT WORKS.

Correlation between stretching and poor quality sleep.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 06:34 AM PDT

Of course there are dozens of factors that contribute to good sleep hygiene but I have noticed recently that there may be a correlation between days that I stretch and waking up exhausted.

I need to do some more elimination tests to see if it could be legit, but has anyone else experienced this?
