Pranayama: Forceful and fast breathing |
| Posted: 12 Oct 2020 09:26 AM PDT I understand that Ancient yogis measured life in terms of number of breathes instead of number of years. Hence, we try to lengthen the breath in pranayama and reduce the number of breathes taken per minute. In this case, does forceful and fast breathing techniques such as kapalbathi or bastrika pranayama reduce one's lifetime? Should one stop doing such techniques after some time or reduce the duration of doing them gradually, if they are only meant for cleansing? [link] [comments] |
