    Back flexibility

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 11:10 AM PST

Hi, I've been struggling with my back for a few years now just mild scoliosis and quite bad pain. I used to be fairly flexible through my back but it's so tight nowadays I can hardly turn without it hurting from the tightness, I've been trying to get back into training towards my needle scale but can't even grab my foot any more! It's so disheartening!! Has anyone got any tips good stretches that they found have helped them to progress! Thanks!

    Help with squatting

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 11:03 AM PST

I feel like I can hit a decent depth and squat without pain, but only after a fairly lengthy warmup.

My question is twofold : what can I do to 1) warm up before squatting

    2) stretch during the week to make the relevant joints more flexible for squatting

I think it's mostly my hips that are tight

    Thanks

Does anyone have a general rule of thumb about Inhaling/Exhaling while stretching

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 04:17 AM PST

So I have my own Daily stretch routine and some other ones (mostly for posture correction) that I'm trying to incorporate as habits.

I've noticed that sometimes when I'm not mindful my breathing will be inhibiting me from doing the stretch or pose correctly. Most of the time I feel like that's what's holding my stretches from being the most effective.

I know that there are a lot of other obstacles along the way, but I was wondering if anyone has a general rule of thumb they follow for when to Inhale/Exhale. I'm sure its different for each stretch, but since I plan on trying different kinds and poses i was wondering if there is any general advice

Pain in the back of knee. Maybe sciatica?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2020 05:03 AM PST

    Hi everyone

I started feeling pain in the back of my left knee three months ago. I couldn't stand for long periods and limped when I walked. The pain has mostly gone away now except I can't touch my toes without feeling a sharp pain and it hurts to do the cobra pose. I'm not sure if this is sciatica or biceps femoris tendonitis.

If anyone has any advice or similar experience, please let me know how to treat this.

For context, I deadlifted and ran prior to the injury and so must've caused the pain.
