Ashtanga yoga: Primary basic to Primary |
| Posted: 14 Jan 2021 05:22 AM PST Hi everyone, I've recently discovered Ashtanga and have been practising a basic version of the primary series. The one I'm using is nice as it gives you a different level of difficulty throughout for each pose. I watched a full primary series the other day and saw a few asanas that aren't included in the one I've been doing. When would you say is the time to move from the basic to the full primary? Should I be looking at the asanas I haven't been doing and trying them separate to my practice? It seems as though I'm doing all the Sun Salutations and Fundamentals whilst missing out on a couple of the Finishing Sequence. Ūrdhva Padmāsana, Piṇḍāsana, Matsyāsana & Utplutiḥ seem to be the ones I'm missing out on. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
