- Shoulders are generally underestimated for their importance. But the critical contribution of shoulders in day 2 day activities shall not be contested. Here is a yoga session focusing on shoulder strength with some elegant but no so popular Yoga asana.

| Posted: 25 Jan 2021 02:57 AM PST I've been doing ballet lessons for two years now, and I practice stretches and splits. I have absolutely no issue stretching for front splits and butterfly pose. I feel the normal stretch pain, that feels kinda good. But when I try stretching my middle (side) split I feel a sharp pain in my inner thighs (half down the upper leg). It feels wrong. And I feel no muscle stretch at all, just stinging needle pain. There is no improvement because of it. And online I can't find someone else with the same problem. Does anybody know what causes this, or how I can resolve it? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 24 Jan 2021 07:38 AM PST Hello everyone! I am trying to improve my backbends. They are about intermediate level (lower back is pretty flexible, shoulder blades, chest and neck are quite tight). I have flexible hips and legs (full splits, butterfly etc.) but it was a lot of hard work to get there using pnfs and relaxed stretching. I can't really use the same aggressive approach though because it is my back and I don't wanna mess it up. At the same time I have neck pain from driving and working at the computer and I want to get better quicker. I was wondering if anyone would recommend a road map to progress, any exercise, any routine, any method. This is very important to me and I hope to improve. Flexibility takes a long time so it is important to be practicing it correctly. I am a man in mid thirties. Thank you in advance :) [link] [comments] | ||
| Any good Upper Back follow along videos? Posted: 24 Jan 2021 10:50 AM PST I want to start incorporating upper back flexibility routines to my usual stretching. And I want to know if any of you have anything to recommend. [link] [comments] | ||
| Any stretching routine/resources to loosen my pelvic floor muscles ? Posted: 24 Jan 2021 11:36 AM PST From the years of sucking my butt in and too much stress, Apparently I have develope very tight pelvis! so tight that I am perpetually clenched. I have to constantly remind myself to loosen up. I was wondering if there are any stretches or yoga poses that would make my pelvis loosen up. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 24 Jan 2021 10:17 AM PST Hi everyone, this has probably been asked a thousand times before but...you know I'm new to working on my flexibility, I'm highly inflexible. I'm wondering if it's more effective to do a general flexibility routine, or if it might be easier to work on certain goals one at a time so I see progress and stay motivated (like working on the splits, touching toes, forward fold etc). I'm not sure what will be more effective. Currently all I'm doing is yoga with adrienne's 30 day breath challenge. Are there similar challenges or YouTube channels geared towards flexibility specifically? Easy to follow stuff. Finally: do you have any tips on relaxing/breathing into a stretch? I find it very hard to do this. And are there external things that make flexibility training more efficient? Say a diet or joint supplements or some random thing? Sorry if these questions are stupid. I have read the pinned 'don't know where to start' but it's a lot of information all at once. It just left me feeling mighty intimidated, so I'm hoping some feedback from real time people may be easier and more motivating. [link] [comments] | ||
| Knee, Groin and Hip pain in middle splits Posted: 24 Jan 2021 07:25 AM PST I know you are meant to feel discomfort when stretching but it feels very different to when I stretch the front splits. I almost have my front splits now and decided to go onto middle splits however, it's very uncomfortable in my groin and front of my hip where it feels like it can't physically go any further. Not to mention that my knees feel like they are going to snap. I'm thinking I need to do some exercises like horse stance to strengthen the joints and muscles but would like some feed back first. | front splits-- foot flat down or turned out? Posted: 24 Jan 2021 11:10 AM PST working on my splits. i've done middle splits before but front splits are new to me. i've been stretching so that the top of my foot is flat to the ground. it seems much easier to me to turn it out and i've seen people do the splits that way. what do you all think? | Thoughts on massaging muscle attachment points? Posted: 24 Jan 2021 10:35 AM PST Do you guys have experience with this? How helpful was it to your flexibility? Could it be detrimental? If you don't know what I'm talking about here's a video of Shane Dowd doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU8K3UAF_JA I haven't found a lot of information about stuff like this on the web. | Posted: 24 Jan 2021 06:08 AM PST I fractured my tibia patella pretty badly in a high speed fall. It was reassembled 2 weeks ago. My leg is in a rigid brace. What are some hamstring exercises I can do? It feels like the back of my leg is very tight. I have had poor flexibility, cannot touch toes. I am limited to only resting my leg in the floor. Can't put any real weight on it for another 4 weeks. Thanks for any recommendations [link] [comments] |
