Flexibility: It took me more than 7 years to get my splits to the ground, but less than 1 year to get the two Yogablock oversplits. Body's are weird ya'll... I'm already setting my flexibility goals for this year, I really want to get some cool poses and leg holds.

Shelter-in-place gave me time to take online splits classes. Here’s my progress over the last year. I can’t believe it!

Can't get my legs on the ground on one side in this stretch (the other side is just fine). Where is the problem? Is it a tight side back muscle? Groin? Hip? Would appreciate any insight! Stay safe.

    Middle Splits Advice

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:30 PM PST

Hello! My name is Bo and I'm new to the subreddit but this is the perfect place for this question. Years ago I was able to do the splits and now that I'm 23 I want to be able to do them again. My mom said not to try to do the middle splits because it's dangerous since I'm an adult. I don't this this is correct but I just want to make sure I'm not having wishful thinking and then go and break my spine or something. Should I go for the middle splits? Thank you!

    The splits?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 02:06 PM PST

Not really trying to be mean, but what's with the splits? Why does everyone here want to be able to do the splits? I mean I could see stretching your hamstrings etc giving benefit to everyday life, but what's up with the splits?

    I mean who cares?
