- Went for a big squat today and failed, but happy I can get my head to my shins. Back to volume training and more flexibility gains to be had, think I can get this even flatter in the next couple of months. Feeling good!
- I have recorded my back bending training session. As I love watching other people training, I find it relaxing and it helps me with ideas for my own training. I hope you enjoy it

- 1 key to flexibility is long-held yoga poses/stretches. This routine focuses on long hold poses to increase flexibility in the lower body. It also includes one of my GOAT poses, Frog Pose I hope you find it helpful!

| Posted: 18 Jun 2021 01:12 AM PDT Just curious about whether you can have the same amount of stretch sitting on your heels while sitting on a bed? My issue is that I can not sit back on my heels on the floor because my feet don't go flat against the floor, which makes it impossible to sit on them. There is a large gap between the top of my foot and my ankle and I am unable to flatten it. My knees aren't the problem as I can sit comfortably in that position on a bed. I can even sit upright and hold it. My question is will I get the same amount of knee/quad stretch from this position on a bed? [link] [comments] | ||

| Having some sensation a little too far from where I’m stretching ..... Posted: 17 Jun 2021 08:47 PM PDT I've been doing a lot of stretching and one of my worse areas is my groin. I had a pretty bad injury that fractured my hip a decade ago which led to a whole batch of new issues in my hip region. While doing weighted butterfly's I pull my knees downwards and when I get a good stretch; I always feel it a little bit in my right testacle. Not asking for medical advice or the unavoidable "you need to see a doctor". Don't worry I am scheduling an appointment. But has anyone felt anything similar? Or heard of something like this? I want to think it is my lateral cutaneous nerve that has been compressed and now that I'm realizing pressure I'm getting sensation but I'm no doctor obviously [link] [comments] | ||

| Wall angels and tingling in the fingers of my right hand Posted: 17 Jun 2021 01:17 PM PDT I consider my posture fine and my shoulders are open too. I can do a almost straight handstand. But since I have a desk job, I try to keep the upper back muscles active. Strange thing is when I do wall angels, I sometimes feel the tingling in my right arm all the way up to fingers. Am I doing something wrong, could be some weakness in a different set of muscles? Few months back I also pinched an ulnar nerve in my left shoulder with nerve pain coming to my ring and pinky fingers and burning elbow but now its better after doing slowly rehab and strengthening exercises for back and shoulder. Does anyone also experience some tingling sensation during wall angels? [link] [comments] | ||

| Improving throwing arm flexibility Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:41 AM PDT Hey everyone! In tennis (particularly the serve) great players will basically "throw" their arm at the ball, in a motion not dissimilar to baseball pitches (e.g. Zverev at 0:12). I don't have the flexility to create the same lag, which is hurting my serve speed. Would anyone know of ways to improve the flexibility in the arm/shoulder to get more flexibility there? It should be similar to some baseball/QB work I assume. [link] [comments] | ||
| Stretches- specific reccomendations Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:40 AM PDT I have been following the reccomened stuff pinned for beginners. However there is a wealth of stuff, all of it useful but some of it may not be needed as much. My primary goal is to be able to squat with perfect form and flexibility. What are the key things I need to work on. Hip flexibility, ankle flexibility , hamstring tightness or all three? Have I missed out anything important and what do you reccomend? Currently I am unable to slav/third world squat without falling backwards and am unable to touch my toes. These are the two things I want to be able to do ASAP. Any advice is appreciated.
