- A new day, a new inspiration, a new watercolor drawing. Who can do this asana? It is a difficult task. This asana I can only draw and many others asanas too. P.s. I don't know English very well, so if I made mistakes, I apologize.

- Listen, I cannot use cannabis responsibly on the fetishes of Jesus Christ, I cannot use cannabis responsibly. Today for instance, I was high and on yoga flow; I felt my entire mind connecting on pattraayaysana or seated forward fold. I don't fold all the way and keep my back on a vertix.

| Posted: 17 Jun 2021 04:36 PM PDT For some reason I've lost motivation for the asana side of yoga. I currently don't know why I've lost it. I've been severely drained from work and a slightly bit depressed about life and for some reason or another when I say I'm gonna get on the mat I never do. Instead I'd rather eat a comfort food dinner and play Stardew valley and relax for the rest of my evening. I used to be so consistent with my asana and now im just not. [link] [comments] |
| Starting yoga for the nth time... Posted: 17 Jun 2021 03:24 PM PDT Hi everyone! Been trying to be consistent with yoga for years now but I find it hard to be consistent as I am always feeling like I'm doing it wrong... I started reading about the Anatomy of the Body and Yoga and that seemed to make me love the practice more and also learned that if you do it wrong you're not hitting the right muscles? As a beginner, what's one of the best ways to be consistent? Should I try to practice a certain flow over and over again as if I'm trying to remember a dance? Should I just do what I body feels like doing and that's already a flow? Would help also if you can give some resources! ☺️ [link] [comments] |
| What is your favorite saying, action, or thing that your favorite yoga classes/teachers include? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:41 AM PDT I'm working on my 200 hour YTT. As I write my motivation/my "why" and note things I love from some of my favorite teachers that I would love to incorporate in my classes when the time comes, I want to know what others love. Mine are: 1) "yoga is a practice, not a perfect" 2) beginning class with a mindfulness exercise 3) shoulder compressions in shavasana 4) a cool towel provided after hot yoga classes 5) personal cues and a personal note to the class (without alienating anyone!) 6) the ability for some fun playtime to attempt poses that you may not think you can achieve (and surprising yourself!) | How much should I charge for a class of several hundred, and up to 1000 people? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:56 AM PDT The 45 min class will also be in the middle of the night my time, as it's a global event. No idea what to charge. The organiser of the event is paying, not the participants themselves. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 17 Jun 2021 03:52 PM PDT I'm hoping this might be a good place to get advice? I did a tiny bit of yoga in high school (really bc I needed a PE credit) and haven't done any since, but I recently got a yoga mat because I thought maybe it could be helpful for some of the back and hip pain I've had. The back pain I think mostly comes from working retail and standing for long periods of time (and probably poor posture) And the hip pain starts when I'm sitting for a long time. I'm an artist, so I spend a lot of my free time sitting and drawing, and I often am sitting with my legs crossed or in a kinda odd position which used to be fine but it is starting to bother my hips and legs. I was wondering if there were some beginner yoga positions that might be helpful in, I dunno, stretching my muscles and I guess just making my body hurt less. Lol [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:05 AM PDT I've practicing yoga for about 1.5 years now and I've recently noticed that my limbs start getting tingly and numb in certain poses. With something like a swan/pigeon pose, I feel like it's normal to lose circulation in your leg a bit, but today I was doing a laying spinal twist with T shaped arms and I felt my arms tingling and going numb. | Yoga DownDog app restarting IPad Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:02 AM PDT Hi all, I know there are several users of this app on the sub, so checking if this happening to you. A couple of days ago yoga app started to freeze and restarts my iPad(air 2), tried deleting and installing the app again, now I can not pass the login screen that freezes and restarts the OS while trying to login. I did contact support but I have no answer yet. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:28 PM PDT Try to keep it as straight as possible. I just keep hitting this pen on this flow. All for my back. Sometimes I hit the perfect ratio and feel incredible and heatness and pulsations everywhere. I use too much and then it goes away. [link] [comments] |
| Tips on how to stay motivated in hot weather Posted: 17 Jun 2021 02:12 AM PDT Hello, what are your tips and tricks to stay motivated in the current heat? I'm currently doing yoga and bodyweight, but as warm as it is right now, I'm already sweating before I start working out and then I have zero motivation. I live here at the college and the rooms are not really well air conditioned. Actually, I prefer to do outdoor sports anyway, but that's hardly possible in this heat. So what are your tips to stay motivated no matter how hot it is? [link] [comments] |
