Yoga: It's a little watercolor sketch. How do you like it? I don't know how to stand like that, and that's a pity. Maybe you can? P.s. I don't know English very well, so if I made mistakes, I apologize.

[COMP] This posture is more about balance and less about flexibility. who finds it hard to practice?

All I want to do is yoga! ‍♀️

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 04:40 PM PDT

I'm in love with my practice. Every day, I notice change. I can balance where I couldn't yesterday or hold a posture longer or use my strength in ways impossible not too long ago.

I'm attempting to build a life of mindfulness, combining yoga with meditation. It's so empowering, and I'm learning so much. Learning to find peace in chaos. Or trying anyway. All this is wonderful!

But I find myself not wanting to spend any time on my other workouts. I've widdled my cardio/strength training down to 2 days a week. 3 if I'm lucky.

Does anyone else experience this? How do you get yourself pumped for the other workouts that I know are so beneficial? I even see the benefits, but when it's time to workout, the only way I want to spend my 60-90 minutes is flowing through a vinyasa and practicing new postures.

    Help!

Yogis, after years of practice do you still have any mobility issues?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 08:45 PM PDT

I'm curious to what degree your practice has freed up your bodies-- do you still have any tight or weak areas even after years of practice?

    [COMP] Feedback on Sirsasana

    Posted: 09 Jun 2021 01:41 AM PDT

[COMP] Usually if I post a small flow it's after I practice or with just a small warm up. Here I'm about 30 minutes in. As you can see it's fine to fall out of position, find your focus again and move on with the flow. If you wait till the end I re-filmed the miss. Not bad for a 60 year old....

    Any advice on crow?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 09:17 PM PDT

    Hey folks,

I've been practicing crow for a few months now and can successfully enter the pose, but I keep falling out of it in less than a second. Any advice? I feel like I've watched every tutorial on YouTube.

    Yoga studio recommendations in Boston

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 01:45 PM PDT

Does anyone have any good recommendations for yoga studios in Boston? I've found a great place for bikram yoga, but am interested in exploring others (vinyasa, aerial, etc.). Thanks in advance!

Hi all, Any reccomendations on doing a handstand hop with 1 leg into chaturanga. I feel like my feet land heavy and automatically into plank. It's not very graceful transition for me. If you have any reccomendations that would be very helpful!! Thank you!! ❤❤❤

What type of yoga would complement weight lifting?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 05:33 PM PDT

I am not a power lifter, I just lift to feel and look good aesthetically. I am curious if there is any sort of yoga out there that focuses on and stretching without doing any crazy bend over backwards poses. My flexibility is not great. I have been googling a lot about yoga and am feeling a bit lost. I would like to learn something useful before going into a studio and just flailing my way around. Bikram yoga looks interesting.. but I work out 5+ days a week so dehydrating myself that much does not seem appealing. Any info or tips would be appreciated.. I don't know if there is a specific type of yoga out there I could learn and go to classes or if I just need to learn all the poses in general.

Please help me find online yoga that’s modified for injuries.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 11:18 AM PDT

I threw out my back badly several months ago. My physical therapist has suggested I start doing some gentle yoga to help strengthen my back again.

Are there any YouTube channels or other video classes (free or at least a good value) that are modified for back injury and rehabilitation? I don't want to do a normal class and accidentally hurt myself again.

What do you think about wearing pronation socks during yoga? (beginner, hatha)

    Posted: 08 Jun 2021 10:10 AM PDT

I am a beginner in hatha yoga classes. I recently saw a chiropractor who suggested insoles for pronation. Should I be wearing something for pronation during yoga?

I see my chiro on Saturday for a follow up but wanted to ask for advice in advance. I have ordered insoles and also saw that you can buy pronation socks.
