Funny, I never knew how tight I actually was until I started to stretch

    Posted: 28 Jul 2021 01:31 PM PDT

I hope I can relate to someone on this post, but I never truly knew how tight I actually was. I'm only a 24 y/o male and I didn't even take stretching seriously when I was younger and active, let alone in my 20s and not active (Getting back to being active now!). But wow, like I'm making good progress on groin and quad stretches especially but the deeper I'm going, while I'm looser and feeling good in those areas my hip flexors and other muscles I couldn't target feel tight all day as a stark contrast to other areas. I was so tight in my quads/groin before that i didn't feel how tight my hip flexors were and even when I started to notice I was not even flexible enough to start and target my flexors until recently.

Just thought I'd share a piece of my flexibility journey and it's been a blast to see the progress!

What can I reasonably expect from 2 to 3 hours of stretching everyday?

    Posted: 28 Jul 2021 01:47 PM PDT

I've been practicing Ashtanga yoga for about 2 years now (after a nearly of dance until age of 19 - 21 now). I really want to start taking my flexibility to the next level by learning contortion. If I do targeted passive and active stretches for 2 hours everyday, can I expect accelerated progress?

I want to get flexible and learn how to do a cartwheel

    Posted: 28 Jul 2021 01:29 PM PDT

I want to learn how to do a cartwheel but I can't,every time I try I can't I always end up crashing and my legs are never straight,I'm not sure if my flexibility is lacking or I'm not trying hard enough, almost everyone in my cheer team can do one and I can't and it's so embarrassing,I need more tips.
