Have any of yall fixed weak internal rotators?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2021 11:58 PM PDT

Just realized I have horrible internal rotators. I tried to do what this guy does at around the 4:40 mark and failed to touch my knee to ground, despite excessively leaning to one side and bending my other knee which is basically cheating..

    https://youtu.be/nsTSL_GWPQY

It made me consider the possibility that I'm just not built to have good internal rotation. I also have knock knees.

    Is there any hope?

Hello everyone. I wanna ask if I’m doing forward fold correctly? I feel like my lower back is weird looking at the footages, but i’m not sure how to fix it? Thank you so much for your help!

Is doing a backbend/bridge harder than getting the splits?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:52 PM PDT

I got my splits relatively easily. It took me two months of stretching like 2 times a week.

But backbends? I can't even lift myself off the ground using my arms. The highest I reach is on my head.

I find it strange because I know a lot of "normal" people that don't do anything that involves regular stretching at all but they can do bridges relatively easily. Meanwhile, they are like a foot away from splits.

So which one is it? Are backbends generally harder or easier to achieve than splits? Do I just have a super stiff back?

    Question regarding side splits stretching

    Posted: 29 Jul 2021 10:27 PM PDT

When doing side splits stretching and I feel like the bottleneck is at the behind and medial side of the knee, which muscle is it?

I feel like it would be one of gracilis, semitendinosus, and semimembranosus but I do not know enough anatomy to figure it out.

I want to find it out so I can do some additional direct stretching of that muscle before doing the side splits stretching.

ps. What happened to the Moronic Monday threads?

Morning Yoga for Lower Body Tension Relief

    Posted: 29 Jul 2021 07:53 PM PDT

I'm using this app to work on my splits. Has beginner, intermediate and advanced level 30 days each. I'm currently on the 10th day intermediate level. Not really it'll be enough so after I complete the program I wanna find another program and preferably for a longer time. Any suggestions?

Potential long post. New here btw

Hey everyone! I'm gonna give a bit of a background. I'm 5'3, 124 lbs, and have not worked out in a little over 2 months. I was doing calisthenics and weight training. Now I'm doing nothing. 😭 I want to get into yoga. I just don't know where to start. I can barely even stretch anymore. I'd like to improve my core strength, breathing, and overall flexibility.

Side question: can yoga bring my butt back? 🤣 or should I keep doing squats throughout the day along with yoga?

Once I witnessed a chiropractor stroking the jaw of a person after warmup for an instant increase in flexibility by approx. 15%. Does anyone know more about this practice?
