Wispering the word namaste made me cry Posted: 03 Jul 2021 09:30 AM PDT I just did the first day of a 30 day yoga program on youtube. I have complex ptsd and my muscles have been clenched for over 2 years now while also often having a shallow breath. It is very difficult for me to tolerate this because even sitting upright makes me feel all those muscles really intensely and sometimes the shallow breath makes me panic a little. I have been doing yoga and meditation for a while now so I am learning to not have any expectations and learn to accept what is present while not pushing into it. I also often feel very disconnected from my self and am extremely self critical. During this yoga routine I actually managed to stay very patient with myself. At the end we had to take a last deep breath and wisper the word namaste. I dont know why but hearing myself wisper this made me burst into tears. I cant really explain it yet but it felt off and good at the same time. Has anyone had this before? No matter what your background is ofcourse. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 06:07 PM PDT I'm on vacation and planned to do yoga outside. There is a beautiful deck here. But mother nature has different plans. All I have is spot that barely fits my mat. I will do yin but like to add some thing a little more active since we are mostly stuck indoors. Any helpful tips are very much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 01:41 PM PDT Hello everyone, I am a 25 year old bodybuilder who is looking for some much needed mobility. I stretch 2-3 times a week in dedicated sessions of around 20 minutes. I am rather limber for my size but feel I could be much better and a beginner yoga program would benefit me greatly. The only problem is I am pretty ignorant as to where to start. Normally I would join a local yoga studio but with my work hours it is impossible. Any suggestions in where to point me would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 03:44 PM PDT Hi everyone! Can anyone recommend the best yoga mat for turfgrass? Not sure what's the best to stay stable on turf since it's plastic. If anyone has any experience please let me know what works best! Thank you!! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 07:40 AM PDT So. Anyone got a good progression for getting into half bound lotus forward fold? I have to work around this lovely little thing called right side hemiplegia. So my balance is about as horrible as it can get, and I'm getting frustrated trying to find my balance. [link] [comments] |
