Already showed off my legs now my back haha- I’ve had a few people ask so if anybody is interested I’ll post a stretch routine tomorrow!

My very slight progress over 2 years of inconsistent stretching, here’s to starting over and being persistent this time! Hopefully I can touch the ground by next year (:

2 years of everyday stretching can pay off

    do you guys stretch daily?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 11:49 PM PDT

wondering if stretching daily is the way forward to make improvements or perhaps a few days a week with more intensive sessions?

    for example:

if i want to achieve a pancake. would you guys work on it daily? or perhaps 3 x week for longer more intense sessions?

Any tips (especially coming back)? Is my placement correct? My hips lift so much, I feel like I'll never get a true middle split

Help: Beginner with Poor Posture + Chronic Pain

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:54 PM PDT

I have scoliosis (large fused section) TMJ, rounded shoulders, scapular winging, pronating ankles, tight hips. Worried about possible pulled muscles in upper back. L Does trying this routine sound like a good start? What about more specifically correcting posture and targeting pain areas?

I have ADHD and starting/sticking to habits is harder than it already is for most people, so I wanted a guideline but I know one size does not fit all. I started working out a lot last year but fear I may have hurt myself long-term even more by not stretching well enough.

Pain in a weird place when practicing side splits

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:43 PM PDT

I initially thought this was an issue with my height as i was trying to get it standing up.

So i bought a stretching machine which is very comfortable, has a winch etc.

I still get that pain. It is located on the inside of my knees going up. Seems to be an insertion of the adductor magnus but what do i know.

Anything i should know or worry about?

Struggling to google my problem,I get pinching/block sensation in the TFL area(front lateral hip) when trying to open my hips. (Think butterfly pose, sitting cross legged, pigeon stretch, basically any hip external rotation and even taking a wide sumo stance produces pinching)

    Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:41 PM PDT

if I lay down on my back, I can bring my knees to my belly all the way up no problem.

But say if im lying down with my knees at 90 degrees, and i try dropping them to the side (opening my hips like im giving birth). I hit a block with a pinching sensation in the TFL area, if I push hard then it becomes hard to walk after and I feel like my patella is being pulled laterally every step i take.

I thought hm maybe external rotation stretches are a good idea, doing the 90 90 hip rotations just makes me feel like im hittinf those blocks constantly without getting anywhere, pigeon pose while seated recreates the pinching in my tfl area too.

It sounds like I possibly need to mobilise my hip capsule? I cannot find anything on the Internet about my problem, is there some thing specific I should type

I doubt I have hip impingement because i feel no pain in the front of the hip when im lying down and bring my knee up to my belly.
