Ashtanga yoga: Seated jump back to plank |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 10:26 PM PDT Does anyone here jump back from seated to a plank position? Like many of you out there, I'm sure, I've been doing a home practice but greatly prefer using guided videos. I was doing it with Mark Robberds for a while. Pretty much playing the same video every morning lol— (right after doing his everyday essentials, which I highly recommend) Yesterday, I did the guided video with John Scott. He encourages a jump back to plank and I was wondering if anyone uses that style and the advantages m/disadvantages. It is harder for me to do which is why I'm thinking it can generate more strength. Jumping back to chatturanga, the other hand, I think, requires more coordination than anything else. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:07 PM PDT Hi everyone! I have been dealing with a sore left knee for a week now. I guess I'm wondering if I should lay off poses like padmasana until it goes away (hopefully)? It never hurts while I practice and I'm always careful about not locking my knee or twisting it as I practice. But it's just sore. I feel this soreness on the top of my knee cap. I kind of feel it click if I lock my knee and then relax it. I'm worried it might be a meniscus tear or something. I am wishing that with rest and maybe taking it easy that it can go away, but I just hope it isn't anything serious. Seeing a doctor during these times is not exactly easy so I'm not sure how I should move forward! Any advice? [link] [comments] |
